Summery: What if Isabel got pregnant from the dreams? Set three weeks after
four square.

Author’s note: My spelling suck, so bear with me.
Isabel woke up at five am in the morning and felt a wave of nausea hit her, which was the fourth time this week
she woke up feeling sick. She ran to the bathroom and nearly missed the toilet before she started to vomit.
When she got out of the bathroom Max stood in the doorway.
“Isabel what’s wrong with you?” he asked concerned for his sister.
“Nothing’s wrong Max, I just didn’t feel well that’s all” Isabel said.” And if you’ll excuse me I’m going to bed”
before I start vomiting again she thought.
She walked to her room and left a confused Max behind and closed her door. When she had closed her door she
let out a breath she had been holding. ´Oh, I hope he bought it´ she thought. Then she thought of another
thing ´What if I’m pregnant? Oh God, please don’t let that be true´.

Max, Michael, Tess, Liz and Maria sat at the Crash down, talking.
“I don’t know what’s wrong with her” Max said to the others. “I have heard her rush to the bathroom three
nights in a row now, something is wrong with Isabel.” Max is really concerned about Isabel and her weird
behavior.
“What do you mean Maxwell? If she got to go she got to go” Michael said to Max, like it’s obvious.
“Yeah Max, there’s probably nothing. Maybe you should go talk to Isabel about it” Liz said to try to help Max.
“It doesn’t sound good, I could go and talk to her” Tess said. “It could be girl stuff, or it might be nothing”
Max thought over what Tess had just said.” Yeah, that would be great Tess”
Michael whispers to Max while the girls talk and try to get to know eachother. “In that case, I think that we
should talk to Isabel. Tess is an outsider, we know Iz better than she does” Michael said acting a little
defensive.
“Maybe that’s what she needs, someone that’s not so close to her and someone that’s part alien.” Max
whispers back.
“Yeah, maybe you’re right Maxwell.” Michael said thoughtful.
While they are talking Isabel comes in to the Crash down. Tess is the first one who sees her.
“Isabel, hi.” Tess said.
The others look up and see Isabel and there’s some “Hays” from the table.
“Hi. Michael can I talk to you?” asked Isabel.
“Yeah, sure” he said. They go over to an empty both and sitting down facing each other.
“Michael, I really don’t know where to start but um...” Isabel tries to form the words.
“Take you’re time Izzy” Michael said, but he keep wondering what it is that can make Isabel stutter. Isabel is
focusing on her hands for a moment before speaking again.
“I think Tess is wrong, I think I might be pregnant” Isabel said, the last words is barely above a whisper.
Michael heard every word she said. Shock written across his face. “What? How? Who?” Michael is speechless.
“I said I think I might be pregnant” Isabel said a little louder this time. “And I think you are the father” Isabel is
now looking into Michaels eyes and sees mixed emotions: shock, surprise, confusion and happiness.
“The dreams we had three weeks ago, you know. I think the morning sickness is kicking in and excuse me I
have to go to the bathroom” Isabel said seconds before running to the bathroom to throw up. It was
the food smell that triggered it, this time was the first time it had happened in the middle of the day. Michael
was quick to follow Isabel to the bathroom for support, like holding up her long blond hair.
The others looked up when they heard Isabel rush to the bathroom. They all looked at each other and Liz said;
“I can go check on her and see what’s wrong”.
She walked to the bathroom and opened the door. When she got inside she saw Isabel crying with Michaels arms
around her.
“Isabel? Michael? What’s wrong?” Liz asked worried about her friends.
“Isabel thinks she’s pregnant” Michael said. “Shhh, it’s ok Isabel. We’re going to work something out”.
They walk out of the bathroom and heads to Max and the others table.
Max is the first one to see them coming out from the bathroom, Michael with his arms around Isabel and a pale
Liz coming behind them.
“My God, Isabel what’s wrong? Why are you crying?” asked Max. “What happened in there?” This time his
question was directed to Liz.
“Yeah, what were you doing in there with Space-boy?” Maria asked trying to lighting up the mode fore
everyone.
“She thinks she’s pregnant and that Tess was wrong about getting pregnant
from dreams” Michael said, ignoring Maria’s question and with the last sentence directed at Tess.
“Isabel are you sure about that?” Max asked his sister, feeling sorry for her and his best friend.
“Yes Max, I’m sure. How else can you explain that I’m throwing up every morning for the past four days?”
Isabel said feeling defeated.
“Nasado never told me about this, we should contact him.” Tess said.
“Yeah, do that Tess. Isabel what are you going to say to mom and dad? They are going to freak when they find
out” Max said.
“Maybe you should take a pregnancy test to be really sure about it” Maria said feeling sorry for Isabel and for
Michael. They had broken up when Isabel and Michael had there dreams three weeks ago.
“Yeah maybe you’re right Maria. I should go buy one” Isabel said.
“But we don’t know if the tests work on us, because we’re half alien” Tess
said.
“But we should try, right? If you want, I’ll go with you” Michael said.
“I will be here for you” and he meant it.
“That would be great, thank you Michael” Isabel said.
“Ok, let’s go now. And we’ll meet at my apartment” Michael said. They all nodded in agreement.

“It’s so many to choose from” Michael said.
They wear standing in the isle staring at the tests not knowing witch one
to bye.
“Lets just take one and go” Isabel said grabbing one and heading for the
cash register before she changed her mind.
Michael followed her taking her hand and squishing it a little for support.
Isabel looked at him and smiled a small smile as thanks. When they had paid for the test they headed for Michaels
apartment.
Inside the store a man in a suit picked up his phone and dialed a number.
“Hi boss, it’s agent Stevens” the man said. “The alien girl bought a pregnancy test”. Silence. “Yes sir, we will
be ready to take her. When she’s most vulnerable”. He put the phone away
and walked out of the store.

Back at Michael’s apartment they had just got the result from the test.
Isabel had walked in to the bathroom to check the result. Michael, Max and Tess were sitting on the couch waiting
for Isabel to come out with the result. When it had gone two minutes he got up and walked to the bathroom
door and knocked.
“Isabel what is taking you so long? What did the test say?”
When he opened the door he saw Isabel sitting on the floor hugging her
self and crying.
Saying over and over: “I’m pregnant. I’m pregnant”.
When she looked up and saw Michael she smiled a real smile, but small.
“Michael, I’m pregnant” She got of the floor and went to Michaels open
arms and gave him a hug. Feeling a little secure she went out to tell Max and Tess the news.
“I’m pregnant” Isabel said. Max started to get a little pale and Tess just smiled.
“I have talked to Nasado, and he said that alien pregnancies are not like
human pregnancies”.
“What do you mean Tess?” Max asked a little confused. Everybody was staring
at Tess.
“He said that humans caries the baby for nine months and we caries it for
four months” Tess said not so happy
any more.

At the Evans house.
“Mom, dad. Please listen to me; I am going to keep this baby. Michael and
I are going to keep the baby” Isabel said trying to not get out of control and start crying.
“Do you have any idea how unrespectfull you are to you’re mother and me”
Phillip Evans screamed at Isabel.
Her mother was sitting in a chair crying. She had been doing that ever sins Isabel told them she was pregnant.
“And you, how could you do this to my baby girl?” he asked Michael.
“She is now your problem, because I don’t want her in my house any more”.
Everybody was completely chocked. Mrs. Evans, Max, Michael and Isabel were just staring at him. Isabel could
now no longer hold back her tears.
“Fine, if that’s what you want. You will never see me again” and then she stormed out of the house and away
down the block.
It took a while for everyone to understand what had just happened. Michael was the first one to react.
“How could you say that to her?! Could you not see that she is upset about this? Damn you!” Michael said
before following Isabel out the door.
When he got out of the house he spotted Isabel down the street.
“Isabel! Wait up” he yelled.
When she turned around to look at him he saw a van approach her from behind.
“Isabel! Behind you” Michael screamed. It opened up and men in suits grabbed
her and pulled her in to the van and then drove of.

Part 2
“Michael take it slowly, tell me again what happened” Max said trying to
understand what his best friend was saying to him.
“They kidnapped her Maxwell. The special unit has got Izzy and I don’t
know what they will do to her” Michael said.
“We have to get her back” Max said. “I can’t loose her, I love my sister
and I can’t loose her”
“I know Max, me to, me to” Michael said.
“We have to wait for her to contact us so we can get information” Tess
said trying to be sensible about all of this.

When Isabel woke up she was in a bright white room with one bed and a toilet
in the corner. She could sense that someone was there with her.
“Whose there?” she whispered.
“Ah, you are awake. Wonderful” said agent Pierce. “I’ll let you get settled
and tomorrow we are going to start examining you”.
And then he left her.

Isabel was trying to sleepwalk Michael, trying focus on the image in her
head.
“Michael!” Isabel cried when she saw him.
Michael recognized that voice, it was Isabel’s voice!
“Isabel” Michael said when he saw her appear in front of him. “Isabel,
do you know where you are? Have they hurt you?” Michael asked.
“No, I don’t know where I am. All I know is that I’m in a white room and
they haven’t touched me yet” said Isabel. “Michael I’m scared. They said they wear going to examine me, what
will they do when they find out that I’m pregnant?”
“I don’t know, but hang on we’re going to save you” Michael said. Isabel
started to disappear.
“No, Isabel wait!” Michael cried out. “Michael, I love y...” and then she
was gone.

“Wake up now Isabel” agent Pierce said. “It is time to start. Take her
away.”
And two men came in and grabbed Isabel.
“No! Where are you taking me?” Isabel said trying to fight them.
They walked down a corridor and into a room. In the room was an examining
table. The men lay her down and tied her up.
“Isabel, I want you to tell me what you and you’re friends want from earth.
Tell me the truth or you’ll be sorry!”
“I don’t know what you want from me! And I don’t know what you are talking about!”
“Don’t lie to me; I know you are an alien. You and you’re friends, think about it while you get an exam” said
agent Pierce.
He walks out of the room and outside of the door he said to another man.
“Find the other boy, Michael, he has got to have a soft spot for this girl”
and he gave the man a photograph of Michael.

“What did you say, she contacted you but not me” Max said feeling a little
hurt.
“Yes Maxwell, she did. But the important thing is that she is ok for now”
Michael said.
“What do you mean she’s ok for now” Max said.
“They are going to examine her, and I could bet my life on it that they will be testing and experiment on her”
Michael said feeling worried about her. He loved her, wait did he love
her. More than a friend? Yeah maybe more than a friend. When did that happen?

Agent Pierce walked through the door to the room Isabel was in.
“Well, how is the patient?” he asked.
“It is really strange. This girl is pregnant but she’s still a virgin”
said the doctor. “We have to do some testing on her”.
“Great, we’ll start on that first thing tomorrow” said agent Pierce. “Have
you hade the time to think about what I said to you earlier? Or do I have to hurt someone you hold close
to your hart?”
He looked at Isabel’s tiered face and saw fear in her eyes.
“What do mean by that?” she asked. Thinking what are they going to do to
Michael, is he here?
“I know what you are thinking, he is going to be here with you soon” he
said with an evil smile on his lips.

Later that night she dreamwalked Michael again to warn him against the
danger in the form of Pierce.
“Michael, do you hear me?” Isabel said.
She saw Michael lying on his bed. When he heard her voice he looked around
and when he saw her she looked really worn out and tired.
“Isabel what have they done to you?” Michael asked concerned about her.
“I can’t stay long, they are drugging me” she said. “I have to warn you,
they are going to come and get you. Be on you’re guard and fight against them”.
The drug they had given her started to work and she started to disappear.
And then she was gone. Michael stared at the spot she hade been just a few seconds ago.

As soon as it was bright out side he headed to Max. And when he was outside
his window he knocked lightly. Max who was lying on his bed thinking got up and looked out his window and
saw Michael outside. He opened the window.
“Michael, what are you doing here?” he asked.
“Isabel dream walked me again” said Michael as he stepped in side Max room.
“What did she say?” Max asked.
“She said that they are going to come and take me to” said Michael. “Max
she looked really worn out”.
“We have to take this information and start to make a plan” said Max. “We
have to have Tess to help us”.
“What are we waiting for lets go to her right now!” said Michael.
And they went down stairs and out the doors to Max jeep and drove of to
Tess.

When Isabel woke up she noticed that something was different. Her hands
went to her abdomen and it wasn’t flat anymore. It looked like she was in her second or third month.
And just like he knew she was awake agent Pierce walked through the door.
“So are we ready for some testing to day?” he asked trying to joke knowing
that she was going to be tested anyway whether she wanted or not.
“Come, take her away!” and when he said that two large men came out of
nowhere and grabbed her.
When she was out of the bed Pierce noticed that she was showing.
“Oh, what do we see here? It looks like you are in your third month; it’s
amazing how quick it goes when you are an alien. Considering that you bought the test three days ago”.
“Please, don’t hurt me or my baby!” Isabel cried out.
“Don’t worry about that alien girl, we need that baby. Take her away” said
Pierce.

At Tess place she, Max and Michael sat and tied to figure out a plant to
save Isabel.
“Mom is freaked and worried about Isabel and dad tries not to be affected
about this but he is. I think that we should contact Nasado and see what he thinks what we should do” Max said
trying to be reasonable.
“But I think it’s going to take to long, and we can’t risk that. We can’t
risk Isabel” said Michael.
“I have an idea” said Tess. “Michael can be the bait, they take him and
we follow behind and see where they take him”.
“I don’t know about that” Max said.
“I, on the other hand like that idea” Michael said. Feeling that he could
do anything to bring Isabel home to him.
He didn´t know when it happened, but he knew that he loved Isabel more
than a friend.

2½ months later.
They were on there way home, with Isabel. She looked so small in his arms.
He remembered the rescue clearly.
Tess’s plan had worked: When he wasn’t prepared it happened, the special
unit had captured him. Luckily Max and Tess had been near by and saw it all and followed the van to the place
Isabel was. When the van had stopped Max and Tess rescued him by killing the men in the van. After that
they got in by using Tess power.
While that is happening Isabel is walking in “her” room, and she is looking
like she is in her eight month. She sinks down to the bed.
During her time at this place she has been through several experiments
and they have barely been feeding her.
Just so that she and the baby are alive.
She knows that they are going to kill her after the baby’s born.
Her first thought is about Michael, that she will never see him again
and that she loved him more than a friend.
She had known that sense that time he got sick and all she wanted was to
trade place with him, just so that he could live on she didn’t care what happened with her.
Michael, Max and Tess are trying to locate Isabel.
They are walking in an abandoned corridor with doors on each side.
Michael is sure that Isabel is on the other side of the door at the end
of the corridor. He runs to the door and used his power to open it up. He opens the door and the first thing he
sees is Isabel sitting on a bed. Michael is standing in the door, frozen at the sight of her and there eyes locked
at each others.
Max and Tess are coming after Michael who is still standing in the door.
They both stop at the sight of her; she looks so thin and pale but still very pregnant. Max thinks that she has
almost lost her glow, her Isabel glow.
When she heard the lock on the door she froze in her movement on the bed
and then after a moment she feels that someone is looking at her. She turns around and sees Michael in the
doorway. All she can do is stair at him, because she thinks that he is just a mirage. And when she sees Max and
Tess she realizes that it isn’t a mirage.
She stands up and walks half way to Michael, Max and Tess. She begins to
fall but Michael reacts fast and catches her. Max and Tess are quickly by there sides. She is staring up
at Michael and put a hand on his face
and says:
“I love you, Michael” before she faints.
End part 2
Part 3
Isabel is lying on Michael’s bed and is dreaming a bad dream.
“Nooo! Don’t hurt him” she screams. Max, Tess and Michael run to the bed
and try to wake her up.
“Isabel, wake up. It’s just a bad dream” Max said, trying to soothe her.
But it isn’t working.
“Don’t hurt him, take me! Don’t hurt Michael!” she screams, tossing and
turning on the bed.
Max and Michael are amazed; Isabel was trying to protect Michael. This
time it is Michael who is trying to wake Isabel up.
“Isabel, wake up it’s just a bad dream” said Michael and stroked her hair
soothing her.
Isabel starts to wake up by the sound of Michaels voice. And when she looked
up Max and Michael saw fear in her eyes. She sat up and looked at Michael.
“Are you ok? Have they hurt you?” Isabel asked, looking at Michael.
“No, Isabel. I’m alright” Michael said to reassure her.
When she hears that she starts to relax. She lies down on Michael’s bed
and falls into sleep again.
They walk back into Michael’s living room.
“What are we going to do?” asked Max to the others.
“We don’t know Max” said Tess. “All we can do is to wait for Isabel to
wake up, so we can get some answers
from her”.
She walks to the couch and sits down next to Michael.
“I wonder what mom and dad are going to say when they se Isabel and in
this condition” said Max. “I must go home before the folks freak. Michael can Isabel stay hear?”
“Yeah, sure Max. See yah” Michael said.
“I have to go to” said Tess. “See yah later”
“Yeah, bye” Michael said.
Michael stood and watched Isabel sleep.
God, she’s beautiful he thought. How can anybody want to hurt her? I can’t
believe that she is carrying my baby. I love her so much; I’ll do anything for her.

At the Evans house.
“Where have you been, son?” asked Mr. Evans.
“I’ve been with Michael, Tess and... and Isabel” Max said not sure of
how his father would react to the news that he had been with Isabel.
Phillip Evans just stood there with a stone like face and then he said:
“Tell her when you see her that I still mean everything I said”.
And then he walked out of the room. His mother came out of a room and looked
at him and said:
“Have you seen Isabel, were have she been and were is she?” Diane Evans
looked desperate.
“She’s fine, mom. She’s at Michaels, I’m heading over there soon” Max said.
He looked at his mother and saw a little life in them again for the first
time sense Isabel was kidnapped.

At Michaels apartment.
Isabel begun to stir and when she looked up she didn’t recognize her environment.
She begun to panic thinking that they had moved her somewhere else. Her hands went to her abdomen,
the baby was still there. A rush of relief went through her body. And when she looked to her right she saw
sitting in a chair, sleeping, was Michael. She started to cry because she was so happy to see him again.
Michael woke up by the sound of someone crying. Then he thought of Isabel
and jumped up from the chair he was sitting in. Then he saw her sitting on the bed crying.
“What is it Isabel, talk to me” Michael pleaded sitting beside her.
“I’m fine Michael, I’m just so happy to see you again” said Isabel and
raped her arms around Michael in tight hug.
He hugged her back, holding her for dear life.
“Michael, I can’t breathe. You are holding me to tight” Isabel said.
“Oh, sorry. It’s just that I kind of missed you too” Michael confessed.
He could not believe that he, Michael Guerin, had Isabel Evans in his
arms.
“Are you becoming a sap Michael?” Isabel asked. This is a new side of Michael
I’ve never seen before. I love him even more, she thought.
“No! I mean no, I’m just so happy to see you” Michael explained.
Isabel leaned in for a peck on the cheek but at the last minute Michael
turned his head so that the kiss landed
on the mouth. It was a little awkward at first but after a few tries the
kiss deepen. They try to lie down on the
bed but Isabel’s stomach is in the way. They broke away out of breath.
“Wow” they both said, feeling a little awkward.
“I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to kiss you” Isabel said.
“It’s ok Izzy, I wanted too” said Michael leaning into Isabel for another
kiss.

The morning after.
“It moved, Izzy it moved” Michael said enthusiastic. This was the first
time he felt the baby move.
“Yeah, isn’t it amazing” Isabel said. “The baby is moving quit a lot now;
I think it knows that its daddy is here”
“You really think so Izzy” Michael asked.
They were lying in bed talking about what had happed to Isabel and about
the baby. They had been up all night talking, well almost all night. The better part of it they were kissing
and exploring each other.
“Yes, I really think so” said Isabel. “Do you know what I think Michael?”
“No, what?” he asked.
“We should start to think about names for the baby” Isabel said. “Because
it’s time soon you know”
“Yeah, you start”
There was a knock on the door. “I’ll go and get it” Michael said. He went to the door and opened it and on the
other side was Max.
“Hi Maxwell” said Michael. What are you doing here so early?”
“I have to talk to Isabel”
Isabel had heard that it was Max, so she came to greet him. She was wearing
Michaels T-shirt and a pare of his sweatpants.
“Hi Max” she said. She went to him and gave him a hug.
“Hi, you look better than last night” Max said.
“Yeah, it’s a miracle called food with lots and lots of Tabasco” she said
smiling at him, not telling him the hole reason. “So, what brings you by?”
“I’m here to tell you that mom wants to see you” Max said.
“She really wants to see me? What about dad?” she asked, getting her hopes
up.
“Of cores she wants to see you, she’s been missing you like crazy” he said. Feeling guilty because there dad
didn’t say anything positive.
This didn’t go unnoticed by Michael.
“Where did she want to see me?” she said.
“At the Crash down, at noon” he said. “I have to go. I’m going to meet
Liz. By guys” And then he left them.
“This is great, isn’t it Michael” she said trying to pretend that Max hadn’t
said something about her dad. “Do you have something I can put on” she said rambling on.
“Yeah sure, I think so anyway” Michael said.
They went in to his bedroom and to his closet. He opened it up and they
went through it together. And the outcome of it was a shirt and a pare of his old and worn out boxers, it
was the only thing that fitted her because of her stomach.
“So, are you ready to go” Michael said. “I can come with you, if you want
of cores”.
“That would bee so great, I don’t know if I can handle to go all by myself”
she said. She tock his hand and they walked out on the street and heeded to the Crash down to meet Dian Evans.

At the Crash down.
Diane Evans was sitting in an empty booth when Isabel and Michael walked
in.
Isabel spotted her mother right away and stopped in her tracks, making
Michael bump into her.
Diane turned around and saw her daughter for the first time in over two
months. She just looked at her; she couldn’t help just looking at her. She saw how much Isabel had changed;
she had gotten so big but at the same time so thin. Diane came to Isabel with open arms and Isabel ran to her
mother with tears in her eyes. Michael just stands and watches mother and daughter hugging each other.
And when they finally let go of each other
Diane said;
“God how I have missed you”.
“I have missed you to, mom” said Isabel. “I don’t even know where to start
explaining”.
“You don’t have to explain to me. You’re here with me that’s all that matters”.
They went to sit down in the both when Diane saw Michael.
“Come and sit Michael”.
He went over to them and sat down next to Isabel. Diane saw how they couldn’t
keep there eyes of each other.
And she also saw how happy Isabel looked when she looked at him.
They ordered some food and talked about all and nothing. She now knew that
Isabel had been out of town in over two months and that she now lived with Michael. She knew by the look
of Isabel that she was more than three months along with her pregnancy. She guessed about eight months.
And when it was time to leave she said;
“Isabel, honey. You do know that you can tell me anything, right?”
“Yeah mom, I do” she said. And then they went separated ways, Diane one
way and Michael and Isabel one way.
As they were walking away Isabel turned her head to Michael and said;
“Thank you, Michael. For being there for me, and for letting me stay at
your place”.
“Any time Izzy” said Michael with a smile. “Any time”

Part 4
Isabel had decided to go back to school. This was her second day and almost
every body was talking behind her back. They were saying stuff like;
“I knew she was a slut”, “I heard that she was kicked out of her home”
and “I heard that she ran away with her boyfriend but he dumped her so she had to come back home”.
She was at the girl’s bathroom at school and she got trapped in a corner.
“So, slut. I can’t believe that you came back and you are giving us girls
in school a bad reputation” said Annie the most popular girl in school.
She had her pack of girls behind her.
“Annie, get out of my way” said Isabel.
She was so sick and tired of all this bullshit and if they didn’t leave
her alone she would do something that she would regret.
“And who is gonna make me” she said a little cocky. Because she knew that
she had the power at this moment and she was grabbing it.
“I am gonna make you move out of my way” Isabel said in an angry tone of
voice.
She raised her hand and started to getter energy to send through her hand.
Right before she send out her energy Maria and Liz walked in to the bathroom and stopped it from happening.
“Hay, what’s going on her” said Maria. And both she and Liz saw what was
going to happen if they hadn’t walked in.
“Oh, nothing” said Annie innocent.
“Come Isabel, let’s get out of her” said Liz, trying to calm Isabel. It was not good to get upset because of the
baby.
“I’m coming” said Isabel. And walked of with Liz and Maria.
Out side they stopped and Isabel was trying to calm down but she was still
breathing heavy.
“What happened in there?” Liz asked.
“I don’t know. They corned me and I was about to literally explode” said
Isabel. “Thank you both for coming in at the time you did”.
“Hey, no prob” said Maria. “Now let’s go eat, I’m hungry”.
“You know what? So am I” said Isabel and they all laughed and walked to
the cafeteria.

Michael’s apartment.
“So, how was your day?” Michael asked Isabel.
He had heard about the bathroom incident.
“Oh pretty good, and yours?” she asked back.
“Pretty much the same” said Michael. “Have anything in particular happened?”
He was trying so steer the conversation to what hade happened to day. He had heard it from Maria when
he had worked his shift at the Crash down.
“Nothing much. But I think that you already know what happened” Isabel
said.
“Yeah, I know what happened, Maria told me” said Michael. “You have to
be careful on what you are doing.
That was a close call. You were lucky that Liz and Maria came”.
At this Isabel became quiet. Yes of course Maria told him, she thought.
She wants him back now that I love him.
Michael watched Isabel, afraid that if he spoke she’d get angry at him.
He saw that her face went through all kind of emotions; anger, confusion
and fear. He looked again, yes he saw fear. What was it that Isabel was scared of?
“I have to get out of here” Isabel said, she could not be here right now.
She needed space. She started to walk to the door and Michael grabbed her upper arm.
“Where are you going?” he asked.
“I just can not be here right now, ok?” she said. “I am just going out to clear my head”.
“Please, don’t go. Don’t walk away from me” said Michael. “Talk to me Izzy,
please just talk to me”. Michael was now pleading.
Isabel thought; god he is so cute when he does that. He should show that
side more.
“What do you want me to talk about” she asked.
“What are you scared of?”
“I am not scared” Isabel prayed that he would buy that.
“I don’t believe that” He said. “I saw the emotions in your face earlier”.
“Fine, I was scared Michael ok” she said letting it all come out in the
open. “I was scared of losing you, there, now you know”. She felt that she was near tears.
“Izzy you are not going to lose me, trust me” Michael said wondering why
she was scared of losing him.
