Author's Notes: Well this is my first fan fiction that I have ever written so please give me feed back.  I didn't use one of the main couples is because they are kinda boring so I went with something with a little bit more fun.  I hope you enjoy.

Where to begin, life has been strange the last couple weeks of January.  Liz broke it off with Max after she saw Max and I kissing.  Liz will not talk to either of us.  Which means we can't explain that it was part of Spin the bottle at the party we were at.  I mean Michael saw the same thing and isn't pissed at Max and I but he could be lying because he is pushing me away again.  There is something that I haven't told any one because Michael and Liz wouldn't forgive me.  What it is, is that when Max and I kissed I felt something that I've never felt with Michael and the feeling felt wonderful.  I don't think Max felt it, because he hasn't talked to me or looked me in the face since that kiss two weeks ago.   Michael did end up breaking up with me.

Well that was until today when he showed up at the Crashdown while I was working.
Max asked if I would meet him at Michael's apartment.  I told him OK but it would be in a couple hours later because I have to finish my shift at the Crashdown.

***********Couple hours later**********

I was a little nerves meeting Max at Michael's apartment but we both knew that Michael went to visit Laurie Dupree in Arizona and wasn't due back for another four days.  Max is the only other one to have a key to the apartment so that was how we got in but I didn't know later that we would regret having that key but back to what happened.  So I knocked on the door and Max opened it and I saw a bunch of candles lit, which was a little breath taking. 

"Hello Maria!"  Max said in a very sexy voice.

"Hello Maxwell!"  I said with a bit of a shock at what I saw because I thought it was the most romantic thing I had ever seen.  Max stifled a laugh when he saw my expression.

"Well, come in.  I've been waiting for you to get here.  I need to tell you something."  Max told me.

"OK, what is it that you want to tell me because by looking at this room you'd think you were planning a romantic evening."  I said with a sexy smile.  While I was standing there looking at that room I kept getting flashes from when we kissed at that party and I was getting that feeling I got with that kiss.  Then I got an image of Liz with that look of pure hurt when she saw us at that party.  So I told my self to forget that wonderful kiss because Max and Liz belong together.

"Maria…Maria…Maria."  I heard Max say which brought me back to Michael's living room.

"What?"  I asked

"Are you all right?  I called your name ten times."  He said

"Yeah, Yeah I'm fine.  Just slipped in some kind of funk.  Sorry, go head tell me what you needed to tell me."  I said

"Do you remember when we were dared to kiss each other at that party?" he asked very quietly

"How could I forget that kiss Max"

"So you felt how right it felt.  I can't stop thinking about it.  Yesterday, I was sitting at home having a conversation with Iz and she mentioned your name once and I got flashes of our kiss and how wonderful it felt."

I just stood there in total shock.  I didn't know what to say because I didn't think
Max felt what I felt.  I grabbed Max, pulled him to me, and kissed him.  He didn't pull away he tried to get closer and he deepened the kiss.  That it took my breath away.  I had to push him away because I was afraid I wouldn't catch my breath with him that close to me.  He looked up at me with his beautiful smile and with this new sparkle in his gorgeous eyes.

"Wow!  Wow!  Is all that comes to mind.  I've never had a kiss like that with Michael but we can't to this Maxwell.  It would kill Liz and Michael.  We might not be dating them at this moment but we both know that we're in love with them.  You and me this is just lust over a stupid dare at a party.  I'm not going to act on this again."  I told him.  He just stood there looking at me like I was crazy.

"You have got to be joking Maria.  That kiss was more then just lust.  I know we both love with other people but I can't deny the feelings I'm having towards you.  I just can't deny them any longer Maria."

I walked over to the couch and gestured for Max to come join me.  He walks over to me and starts kissing me again.  But I'm thinking *God, what are we doing, this is just wrong but it felt so right.* I knew Max had his hand up my shirt reaching for my breast next thing I know Max has ripped off my shirt and bra.  He deepens the kiss before he moves away from my lips down towards my breast.  He gets his mouth around my nipple and starts nibbling.  It feels so wonderful that I couldn't help but letting out a little moan.  Which made Max look up at me with that wonderful smile.  He starts tracing my stomach with his tongue while he is pulling off my skirt and panties off me.  Next Max moves his hand between my legs and starts teasing me a little with his fingers by rubbing on my clit making my whole body shiver.  I know that he knows that I want to move on.  So he starts kissing down my stomach to my clit.  I feel him stick his finger up into me then he pulls it out and starts licking me and I'm going to crazy inside because when Michael I did this he wasn't as gentle as Max.  Max continues pushing his fingers inside.  My climax comes and I let out loud moan and Max moves back up to kiss me again.  So I flip him over to his back and I move so I can unbutton his pant and I remove them along with his boxers, which leaves him there lying naked.  I stare at him for a minute before I move up to his lips and kiss him.

 Then I whisper in his ear "You look very sexy."  He just smiles.  So I start kissing him again while I let my hand drift down to his cock.  I grab it and start stroking it very gently at first then I increased the pace.  I did this until he came.  He then flipped me back over and starts kissing me very passionately.  Then he starts to push in side me.  I tell him to stop.  He looks at me with those eyes then smiles at me I smile back before I tell him.

"Max, I have to tell you that me Michael haven't made love yet just fooled around.  I'm a little scared." 
He smiles at me and say almost breathlessly. 

"Maria I will not hurt you.  I'll be very gentle with you.  I would never want to hurt you but if you want to stop I will."

I look at him.  "Max I do not want to stop this.  It feels wonderful but I thought that you would want to know." 

He smiles at me "Are you sure you're ready?"  I give a nod then I pull him down to kiss him and he starts kissing me back.  Then I feel him go up into me and it hurt but he was very gentle.  He started out slowly then became more quickly.  I felt myself start to go crazy like I did before then I hit my climax.  About five minutes later Max had is orgasm. 

We were still making love when I heard the keys in the doorknob but I thought I was hearing things so I didn't say anything.  Next thing I knew the door was open and I hear Michael say, "Who the hell lit all these damn candles?"  Next I heard him say, "Max where are you.  I know you're here cuz you're the only other one with a key."  I was freaking out because I knew Max and I were about to be caught having sex on my on again- off again boyfriend's couch.  I looked up to see Max's expression and he doesn't seem to be as freaked as I am about this.  I kept thinking that I wish Tess were here so she could make him see something other then his best friend and his on again-off again girlfriend having sex on his couch.  I didn't realize that I was holding my breath until Max gave me quick kiss before he stood up to face Michael.  I was too afraid of what would happen that I couldn't move.  I just lay there naked as Michael saw Max stand up and put on his boxers and grab his shirt and handed it to me. 

"Hey Michael, what are you doing back already?"  Max asked casually

"Max, what the hell is all these candles here for?  Did you and Liz make up and decide to use my apartment to have sex?  I'm just guessing that since you didn't have anything on over there."  Michael said

At this time I figured I should stand up to get it over with but I couldn't move from this spot.

"Well, Michael I was entertaining someone but it isn't Liz."  I heard Max tell Michael.

At that point I grabbed up for Max's hand.  It was time to face my doom.

"Wow, that is a shocker.  Wait what the hell that looked like Maria's hand that just grabbed your hand Maxwell but I must be wrong because you're my best friend and I know that you wouldn't try anything with my girl."  Michael said.  When I heard that I knew I had to face him because it isn't just Max's fault it takes two and I was willing.  As I was about to stand up Max looked down at me and gave me that wonderful smile to let me know that he wouldn't let anything happen.  I stood up and the look on Michael's face was pure hatred towards us I didn't know what was going to happen.

"What the fuck is this?  My girl and my best friend fucking on my damn couch.  I can't believe this shit."  Michael said very anger.

"Michael let me explain."  Max said a little to quickly.  Quicker then I thought he would.

"What is there to say Maxwell, that you tripped and your dick landed inside my girl.  Maria I can't believe this.  Did all this start when Liz caught you two kissing at that party." 

I was speechless at this point.  I knew he would be pissed but that comment I couldn't believe.
"Michael, oh god Michael I'm so sorry but I don't know what to say."  I said on the verge of tears.  I decided to take a couple step towards Michael when he had his back to me but that was the worst thing that I did all night because I got close enough to Michael that when he swung his fist it caught me right in the eye.  I dropped to the ground with my hand over my eye.  I don't know who reached me first.

"Michael why the fuck did you hit her for?"  Max asked, in a voice I never thought I would hear coming from him.  I was pure disgust and hatred for Michael.

"My god I didn't mean to hit her, she wasn't there when I turned around the first time."  Michael said.  I was in to much pain to realize what I was doing that I pushed Michael away from me and turn to Max who had his arms around me before I was even turned completely around.  I just sat there crying for what felt like hours but was only a few minutes.  When I finally got calmed down enough I turned towards Michael with disgust and I said with more anger then I knew I had at this point.

 "Do not ever come near me again, lose my phone number because I never want to hear your voice either."  I turned to Max who had put his pants back on while I was talking to Michael.  "Max will you please take me home, I walked over and I don't think I could make it home while I'm in this much pain."  I got up put on my skirt on, then I grabbed Max's hand and pulled him closer.  I grabbed whatever else that was mine and we left Michael's apartment for what I thought would be the last time.

*********One week later*********

I have this huge black eye from where Michael hit me and I haven't left my room since Max dropped me off that night.  Max has been over everyday to make sure I'm doing OK.  He did asked if I wanted him to heal the black eye, so I wouldn't have to try and explain what happen.  I told him not to worry about that I had a cover story for my black eye.  Plus I wanted Michael to have to see what he did to me.  I have to go to school this morning because my mom wont let me stay home from school another day.  I was trying to wait till my eye wasn't so black and purple but it isn't getting any better.  Well Max called this morning and asked if I wanted a ride to school.  I said of course.  Which means he will be here any minute and I have to get past my mother with this eye.  I've hid it pretty well from her but I'm not hiding it today.  Well here goes nothing.  When I got in the kitchen I saw a piece of paper on the table so I picked it up and it was a note that said.

Dear Maria,
I had to get to work early this morning.  Sorry I couldn't be there to get you off to school for
your first day back after being sick.  I love you Honey.  Tell Michael HELLO for me.
Love your Mother.

I breathed a sigh of relief after reading that letter.  Then I heard Max honk the horn so I grabbed my bag and walked out to the Jeep.

"Hello Max, where is Isabel this wonderful morning?"  I asked him with a sweet smile on my face while I climbed in the front seat.

"Well I told her I had to get going early this morning and she said she wouldn't be ready in time so I told her to call Alex for a ride."  Max answered

"But you didn't have to get going early this morning Max.  I'm on your way to school."

"I know but I had to pick up something for someone special in my life."  He said as he reached to the back seat and pulled out a dozen roses.

"Max those better not be for me.  I didn't do anything to deserve those.  I don't want you buying me things because you feel guilty about Michael hitting me."  I retorted.

"Well I didn't buy them because I felt guilty but I do.  I bought these because I'm glad you're coming back to school and now I show everyone that I care for you Maria." He said while he was leaning down for a kiss.  So I kissed him.  How could I resist with the roses he bought?

"Max wasn't that what got me my lovely shiner.  Us showing how much we care for each other.  I really don't want another shiner from someone else.  I did enjoy that kiss by the way.  We better get to school and Thank you for my roses I love them."  I leaned over and gave a very lovely kiss.

Well it took us fifteen minutes to get to school, park and walk into school.  I could feel people staring at us actually at me.  I was a little nerves to have to face Michael and Liz.  I wasn't sure if Michael or Max told her what happened.  Max walked me to my locker then he bent over and whispered "Meet me in the eraser room after lunch."  Then he kissed me on my cheek.

 I nodded my head yes with a huge smile on my face.  Well I made through my first class but second class Michael is in and I haven't seen him yet but I'm sure he knew I had come to school with my black eye because everyone was talking about it.  Well here I go in to my second class and their sits Michael staring at me as I walk in with a look of shock when he see that I still have my black eye.  I could see the hurt on his face that I left there for him to see because he know that Max could have healed me after we left his apartment.  I ignored all the looks that I got when I walked and I didn't sit next to Michael.  Well things got worse when the teacher wanted us to do a project and she partnered me with Michael.  I begged the teacher to give me someone else because Michael wasn't someone I should be a partner with.  She just ignored my request and went with her business.

"So I guess you're stuck with me Maria.  Now you have to listen to me."  He said half-pleaded and half in his normal Michael tone.  But before he could continue I interrupted him half-talking and half yelling.

"Michael, I told you that I never want to hear your voice again but since I have to because of this stupid teacher.  I hear one thing about…"  I let my sentence drift because I didn't want the whole class to hear the last part of it.  Then I whispered "About you punching me in my eye.  I will tell everyone the real truth how I got this black eye.  And yes I will tell them the whole thing about me and Max on your couch."

 When I brought that up his face turned to anger and he yelled before storming out of class. 
"If you even think what I did was worse then what I walked into then your fucking crazy Maria."

I didn't know what to do because the whole class was staring at me wondering what had just happened.  I knew I was on the verge of tears, so I got up and grabbed my stuff and ran out of the classroom.  I didn't know where to go.  I just ran right into the girls' bathroom and ran smack into Liz.  Talking about bad timing on my part.  I couldn't face her right now so I just turn and left.  I didn't return to that class but I had two more before I was suppose to meet Max in the eraser room.

*********After Lunch in eraser room*********

I was in there waiting for Max to come.  I had pretty much cried all day long.  My eyes were bloodshot and all puffy.  When Max finally showed up he just sat there hugging me.

"I heard what happen in your second class with Michael.  Are you all right Maria?  I wish I had heard earlier then at lunch.  Wait how long have you been in here waiting for me?"  He asked

"I'm not so good I wish I could just leave and I've been in here since mine and Michael's fight in our class.  I can't face these people.  Did you hear what he said to me Max?  He said that what we did was worse then him hitting me.  Max I think he hit me on purpose."  I couldn't talk anymore I started to cry again but this time I had Max to hold me.  Which made me feel a little better knowing I'm not alone.

 We heard the bell ring for class to begin but we didn't move from our spots.  I didn't think I was strong enough to make through the rest of the day and have to face anyone.  So after everyone was in class Max asked me. "Do you want me to take you away from here because I will Maria.  I feel like this is all my fault.  If I hadn't asked you to meet me at Michael's this never…"  I stopped Max before he could finish his sentence with a soft kiss on his lips.

"Max you're not taking all the blame.  I didn't have to agree to meet you and I didn't have to consent to having sex on Michael's couch.  Max, I wouldn't take that part of the night away ever but I think that maybe we should be alone and think things out.  Because I've lost my best friend and my boyfriend.  You lost your girlfriend and your second in command because we acted on something that we should never have.  I'm sorry Max but I can't see you right now."  I said.  Before he could say anything I gave him our last kiss and ran out the door.  I didn't stop to look at Max because I don't think I could have handled what I saw from Max.

*********Two Weeks Later*********

Well Michael hasn't been in our class since our fight, my eye is all better, and I haven't heard from or saw Max since I left him in the eraser room.  I did talk to Liz and told her everything that has happened since she saw Max and I kiss.  She didn't get as mad as I thought she would.  She didn't just blame me like Michael does because I heard that Max and Him have been hanging out the past week or so.  Liz told me it takes two people to do what Max and I did.  She has forgiven me but still things aren't right.  Tess, Isabel, Kyle, and Alex haven't really talked to me either.  I have to go back to work tonight.  I haven't worked since that night Michael caught Max and me.  I had asked Mr. Parker if I could have some time away from work to figure something's out.  He gave it to me.  So I'm due to work in two hours and I'm dreading it because I'm afraid that Max, Michael, Tess, Isabel, Kyle, and Alex will come in and I don't think I could face them.  I know that Liz is working with me tonight but we aren't on that good of terms either.  I know she said she forgave me but I think I have to forgive my self for hurting her.

*********Later at Crashdown*********

Liz and I started our shift and thing are going pretty well this far.  I haven't thought about Max or Michael since I started my shift.  I do look at the door every time I hear those stupid alien chimes.  Well it looks like we close in one hour and nobody has come in tonight.  I bet Liz told them that I would be at work tonight.  Which is fine with me because I don't want to have to face them.  While I was at the counter wiping it off Liz walks up to me.

"So how was your first day back Maria."

 "It was good, I needed to be back at work.  I felt like I had fallen off the face of the earth.  Liz, I'm really sorry for everything.  I know you forgave me but I can't seem to forgive myself for what I did to you."  As I was finishing up I heard the stupid Alien Chimes from the door.  First I looked at the clock 10 minutes till close.  Why would someone come this late?  I turned around to see who opened the door.  There stood the whole group: Alex, Isabel, Tess, Kyle, Max, and Michael.  I couldn't help but turn around and run to the break room in the back.  I can't believe they are here.  All of them, they could have come in at different times but no they came in at the same time.  I heard the door behind me open and close before I looked up to see Michael standing there.  He didn't have the look he had when we had our argument in our class.  He looked happy to see me, which made me cry.  Next thing I knew Michael had his arms around me.  I pushed him away.  I needed to tell him what I was feeling.

"Michael, I need you to just listen before you say anything.  I'm so sorry for what I did to you.  I love you so much but I felt something for Max and I couldn't stop what I was feeling.  I know you probably want nothing to do with me.  I know you and everyone else blames me for all that have happened to our group.  I so sorry Michael, how can…."  I couldn't finish the rest of the sentence because Michael had pulled me into the most passionate kiss.  I looked up into Michael's and saw pure love not hate.

"Maria, I'm so sorry you feel like I blame you for everything.  I'm also really sorry about your eye.  I didn't mean to hit you.  I never wanted to hurt you like that.  I love you so much Maria.  Plus none of the other know what happened they just think we all had a fight."

*********Two Days Later*********

Here I sit in Michael's apartment waiting for him to get home from helping out Alex.  I'm waiting for him in his bed.  I haven't wanted anything more then I want Michael right now.  I hear the keys in the door and hear the door open and close.

"What the hell, oh come on not again."  I can hear him say.  I try to stifle a laugh because his tone a voice.  I see Michael walking towards his bedroom so I call to him in the sexy voice I have.

"Come here Space boy."  He looks up with a huge smile on his face.

"Are you sure you're ready for this Maria because I've been waiting for you."

"I've never been more sure about anything in my whole life.  I never wanted anything more then this Michael."

Michael walked over to the bed and started kissing me.  The kiss was the most passionate I've ever had from Michael and it felt wonderful.  We didn't mess around with four play because we have done enough of that in our relationship. 

"Michael wait."  I said breathlessly

"What's wrong Maria?"  He asked gently

"I needed to tell you that I love you Space Boy."

"I love you too"

*********One Month Later*********

Well Michael and I are still going strong, we still fight like we use to but we love to make up afterwards.  I still have feelings for Max but not as strong as the ones I have Michael.  Liz and Max have made up and they are back together.  Liz and I still aren't as close as we were.  Michael and Liz will not leave Max and I alone in room together which I find amusing.  It has been almost 2 months since me and Max got caught.  But there is a problem I missed my period this month and I've never missed a period in my life.  So I took that pregnancy test that I bought today.  One strip means negative, two strips means positive.  Well here goes nothing to check out the results.

"Oh shit, what am I gonna do.  I have to tell Michael but I have to wait till after I see the doctor, Wait can I see a doctor."  I said out loud.  I have to ask someone what to do.  I know I'll call Max.

"Hello Evans residents."

"Hello Mrs. Evans this is Maria is Max home?"

"Yes he is hold on let me get him."

"Maria what's up?"

"Max I need to talk but not over the phone can we meet somewhere it's an emergency."

"Sure meet me at the park in 20 minutes"

"Okay see you their Max."

*********Twenty Minutes Later At the Park*********

"Maria what is the emergency."

"Max I'm pregnant, I need to know that it is okay to go to the doctors."

"Wait, It's not mine is it."

"No, I'm only a month late and it has been 2 months since our affair."

"Well, I don't know but we can go to the doctors and I will go just in case something might happen."

"Okay I have an appointment tomorrow after school.  Meet me in the school parking lot and try to keep Liz from coming with you."

"I can handle that she has to work tomorrow after school.  What about Michael?"

"He has to work too."

"That is easy will just drop them off then say something about not feeling well and I'll offer to take you home."

"See you tomorrow Max."

"See ya Maria."

***After School The Next Day***

"You guys ready to go to work?"  Max asked casually talking to Michael and Liz.

"Yeah Just waiting for Maria she said she had to run to the bathroom before we left."  Michael answered

"Well here she is."  Liz said

"Sorry guys not feeling so good today.  Max could give me ride home after you drop those two off at work?"  Maria asked

"Sure but is that okay with you guys?" 

"Yeah she should rest if she's not feeling well."  Michael said while kissing Maria forehead.

"Well let's go."  As they started walking towards Max's Jeep. 

Thirty minutes later Max had dropped Liz and Michael off and they were now waiting to be called back for Maria's appointment.

"Maria Deluca, please follow me."

"You ready for whatever might happen Max?"

"Yeah, be strong okay."

Twenty minutes later after they got the test results.

"Hello you must be Maria and the father.  Your name is what?"

"Oh I'm not the father, I'm the fathers best friend but my name is Maxwell Evans."

"Oh we don't usually allow friends back for this appointment only the mother and father.  We have to get some private information from the mother."

"It is okay Doctor he know everything there is to know about me."  Maria said

"Okay I'll allow it this time.  Okay your due date is October 26.  So that makes you almost two months along."

"No this can't be true.  I've only missed one period."

"Well Maria when did your last period end."  Max asked

"January 23.  Oh shit this can't happen Maxwell."

"Ma'am is everything all right.  You need to calm down."

"I have to get out of here Max, this can't be happening to us."

"I thought you said you weren't the father Sir."

"We should go, is there anything else we need to know doctor."

"She needs to take these daily and see me in another 2 months."

"Thank you doctor."  Max said

***After Appointment***

"Max what are we going to do?  This baby is yours not Michael's.  Our life just got better this will ruin it all."  Maria said through her sobs

"Maria calm down this isn't good for the baby.  We'll have to talk to the doctor. We have to explain it to them."

"Max this baby is also half Alien, how are we suppose to explain that to the doctors."

"I don't know I'm still in shock here to Maria.  I never expected to the doctor to tell us that it was mine."

"What is yours Max?" 

Max and Maria jumped at that questioned and turned to see who it was.

"TESS WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING HERE?"  Max yelled

"Wow Max what is your problem this is a public place." 

"Sorry Tess but what exactly did you hear?"

"Just that it is was mine, so what is yours?"

"Tess first off what me and Maria were talking about is none of your business.  But I was talking about our school project that we are doing for a class."

"Why is Maria crying about a school project?"

"I'm crying because I fell and hurt my knee and Max was helping me."

"Okay well Liz and Michael are looking for you 2.  Michael was worried about Maria so he called her and there was no answer so Liz called her cell phone no answer, so they finally called Max's cell phone and no answer so they were worrying."

"Oh shit I forgot to turn my cell on when we left school."  Maria said

"Yeah same here."

"Well I'm on my way back to the Crashdown, Maria are you coming or do you still want to go home?"

"I'll think I should go home I'm still not feeling well."

"Wait how did you end up at the park in the first place?"  Tess asked

"I thought that maybe some fresh air would be good and I asked Max to stop here on the way to my house, but I will walk home from here.  I think the fresh air is helping me.  Talk to you both later."

"See you Maria."  Tess said

"Maria if you need anything before Michael gets out of work give me a call, I turned on my cell."  Max said

"Promise Max I will bye."

***Maria's House***

I need to call Michael maybe I should tell them with the whole group there.  That's what I'll do.  Call Max and have him get everybody at the Crashdown after hours for a meeting and I'll tell them the truth.  NO MORE LYING.

"Hello this is Max."

"Max just listen.  We need to have a meeting tonight and I'm going to tell everyone that I'm pregnant and that it is yours and not Michael.  I can't lie anymore.  It's killing me.  Too much stress and I might lose the baby Max and I don't want to.  I know we are all 18 but I'm going to keep this baby."

"Are you done yet."

"I think so."

"Okay I'll get everyone together and I agree that we should tell the truth.  Talk to you later."

***Crashdown After Hours***

"So what is the urgency of this meeting Max?"  Michael asked

"Well actually it was Maria's Idea for the meeting but I called it."

"So Maria what's up?"  Michael asked

"Okay this is really hard for me to tell you guys this but I'm pregnant."  Maria said taking a deep breath

"Wait hold up your pregnant why is that hard to say."  Michael asked with a huge smile

"That's not the hard part this is.  Michael-your-not-the-father-Max-is."  She said quickly

"Would you repeat your self.  I thought you said that I wasn't the father but Max is."  Michael asked confused

"She did say that Michael, I'm the father she is almost 2 months along and she is due October 26th."  Max said for Maria

Next I knew Michael was attacking Max.  I ran over to them and Michael threw his arm back and hit me.  I went flying backwards and hit the wall.

"OHMIGOD MARIA" I heard Isabel yell but then all went black.

Changes to Max's (POV)

When I heard Isabel scream I used a little bit of my power and pushed Michael off me.  I scrambled to my feet and ran over to Maria.

"MICHAEL MAKE THAT TWICE THAT YOU'VE HIT MARIA."  I yelled

"What are you talking about Max?"  Isabel asked

"Never mind Isabel I need to make sure Maria and the baby are okay."  Calm down and make the connection.  Okay I'm connected make sure Maria's okay then the baby.  Okay Maria looks fine now the baby.  The baby is okay break the connection now.

"Okay Maria is fine just knocked out from hitting her head on the wall.  The baby is also okay.  The hit didn't hurt the baby.  We should pick her up and put her in the back on the couch back there."

Michael went to pick her up but I stepped in front of him.

"Don't you think you've done enough damage Michael.  I think you should leave her alone and leave."

"She is my girlfriend Maxwell not yours but wait this wouldn't have happened if you hadn't fucked her."  Michael said angrily

"Excuse me, When did this all happen Max?"  Isabel asked calmly

"Remember when Liz caught me and Maria kissing at that party well about 2 weeks after that while Michael was gone I asked Maria to meet me at Michael's apartment while we were there we made love and were caught my Michael.  Remember Maria's black eye that was from Michael who hit her because he was so pissed.  Remember the fight they had in there class that day.  It was caused from us making love."

"Max, the baby how's the baby."  Maria said very faintly

"Maria, you and the baby are going to be fine."  I said

"What happened, how did I hit my head?"

"Michael hit you and that made you fly back and hit your head on the wall."  Liz answered with anger in her voice.

"Where is Michael?"

"I'm right here Maria."  He said walking towards her.

"Stop, I don't want you to touch me.  I just want to go home.  Will someone take me home."

"I'll take you home Maria."  I said. 

"Thank you Max.  I will talk to you guys later and try to explain more but I'm not feeling good."

"Maria I'm glad for you."  Isabel said before they could leave.

"Thank you Isabel, that means a lot to me.  I'm sorry that I screwed up our group.  I know what we did was wrong and know that Michael and Liz wanted to forget about it but know we'll always have this baby to remind you so I will understand that you guys wont want anything to do with me."  Maria said with tears running down her face.  "I'm so sorry Liz."

"Sorry Maria I don't care if you're sorry.  I know I said I did forgive you but I can't forget your having my boyfriend's baby.  Tell me Maria do you love Max or were you just looking for a good fuck."

"Liz, I'm not going to lie to you I have feeling for Max but I'm not in love with him.  I wasn't planning on us having sex when I went over there but it happened and I don't regret it."

"You want to know something you can keep Max because I'm done with him."

"Yeah Max, you can keep Maria I don't want her either."  Michael said

"Let's go Maria, I think you need some rest."  I said. 

"Good bye Tess, Kyle, and Isabel.  I'm so sorry."  And with that she ran out of the Crashdown and I turned and followed.

"Maria slow down.  Maria Stop already."  I yelled at her

"Max I have no friends but you what am I gonna do."  She said through tears

"Just know Maria that I will always be there for you and the baby."  Max said kissing Maria on the top of the head.

"Next is to tell our parents about the pregnancy.  That isn't gonna be as hard as telling Michael and Liz.  I will not leave your side Maria."

"Thank You Maxwell."

***Next Morning Maria's House***

"Mom I invited Mr. & Mrs. Evans over for coffee along with Max."  Maria told her mom

"Okay Honey I've wanted to invite them over for along time but I haven't had the time."

Ten minutes later there is a knock on the front door it is the Evan's.  Amy answers the door.

"Welcome Philip and Diane and of course my favorite man Max."

"I won't be for long."  Max said under his breath so no one could hear him

"What was that Max hunnie?"  Mrs. Evans asked

"Just wondering where the lovely Maria is?"

"I'm right here.  Why don't we go in the Kitchen so we can talk."  Maria suggested
The parents headed into kitchen while Maria and Max held back for minute

"How are you feeling this morning.  Is our little one making you sick?"

"No Max not this morning.  I don't think I'm ready for this.  I'm scared what our parents are going to say to us.  I don't know how we are going to be able to handle this."

"Don't worry Maria I will never leave you.  It takes two for this and I'm hear for the long haul."

"Well we better get in there and get this over with."  Maria said while grabbing Max's hand and walking into the kitchen to that Amy and the Evans we already having coffee and laughing.

"Oh hey Max and Maria, do either of you want anything to eat or drink?"  Amy Deluca asked

"No, but Max and I have something to talk to you guys about."  Maria said taking a deep breath but before she could say anything else Max grabbed her hand in his gave her a hard squeeze.

"Maria and I are going to have a baby.  She is two months along and we are keeping the baby.  I know this is hard to take.  But we aren't going to change our minds."  Max said with that tone that said it was final.  Then look down a gave Maria one of his irrestible smiles that last about two seconds because Mr. Evans wasn't happy about what he just heard.

"DID I JUST HEAR YOU RIGHT MAX.  THAT YOU KNOCKED UP MARIA AND YOUR PLANNING ON KEEPING THIS BABY.  I CAN'T BELIEVE I'M HEARING THIS.  YOU TWO OUR 18 YRS OLD.  YOU'RE NOT READY FOR A BABY."

"Max I thought you were dating Liz and I thought You Maria were dating Michael Guerin."  Mrs. Evans said

"We were dating them up until last night when we told them I was pregnant and that It wasn't Michael's baby."  Maria said quietly

"SO YOU ARE FUCKING MY SON AND MICHAEL.  WHAT ARE YOU A SLUT.  ONE CAN'T PLEASE YOU HAVE TO SCREW UP FOUR PEOPLES LIVES."  Mr. Evans said through gritted teeth.

"DON'T TALK TO HER LIKE THAT DAD.  WHEN MARIA AND I SLEPT TOGETHER WE WEREN'T WITH MICHAEL OR LIZ.  IT'S NOT LIKE WE PLANNED TO HAVE SEX.  I DON'T REGRET DOING IT EITHER.  MICHAEL CAUGHT US AT HIS APARTMENT THEN LIZ FOUND OUT THEY FORGAVE WE GOT BACK TOGETHER BUT THAT ENDED YESTERDAY.  MARIA ISN'T TO BLAME FOR THIS.  I ASKED HER TO MICHAEL THAT NIGHT THAT WE MADE LOVE AND MADE YOUR GRANDCHILD."  Max yells angrily at his father.

"WAIT A MINUTE HERE.  YOU ACTUALLY THINK I'M GOING TO HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH THIS BABY.  YOU BETTER THINK AGAIN SON.  I'M TELLING YOU THIS, IF YOU KEEP THIS BABY I WANT YOU OUT MY HOUSE AND YOU ARE NO LONGER MY SON.  MISS DELUCA ARE YOU GLAD THAT YOU'RE TEARING APART MAX'S FAMILY AND RUINING HIS LIFE BECAUSE YOU CAN'T KEEP YOUR LEGS CLOSED."

"THAT'S ENOUGH MR EVANS I WANT YOU OUT OF MY HOUSE NOBODY TALKS TO MY DAUGHTER LIKE THAT.  IT IS JUST AS MUCH YOUR SON'S FAULT AS IT IS MY DAUGHTERS."  Ms. Deluca yells right in Mr. Evans face

"STOP IT STOP IT NOW.  I'M SO SORRY."  Maria yelled before she started crying.  "I didn't want to be pregnant at 18 either but I'll never get an abortion or give my child up for an adoption.  Mr. Evans I'm not trying to tear apart your family, you're doing that yourself.  I know I ruined a lot of people life when we slept together.  If I could go back in time I wouldn't change what happened that night.  I have feelings for your son but we lost the ones we love.  One other thing Mr. Evans Max was the first guy I ever made love to."  She finished and ran out of the house with no destination in mind just to get away from Mr. Evans accusing eyes.

"DAD I HATE YOU RIGHT NOW.  I NEVER THOUGHT I WOULD EVER BE ABLE TO SAY THAT IN MY WHOLE LIFE."  Max then looked at his mother  "I'm sorry you'll never get to know your first grandchild mother but as long as you're with him you can't see my child."  Max said with tears in his eyes then turned on his heels and left to find Maria.

***Couple Hours Later at Maria's***

Maria came home to see her mother sitting in the chair sleeping with tears running down her face.  Maria walks over to her mom and wakes her up.

"Mom wake up, I'm home."  Maria says lightly and sees her mom's eyes open and the next thing she knows her mother has her wrapped in her arms.

"Mom I'm so sorry, I didn't mean for this to happen.  Please say something to me yell, kick me out, please say something."  Asked while starting to cry again.

"Maria Deluca I love you know matter what.  I'm not happy with the situation but I'm not kicking you out either.  Max is welcome to stay with us until he can find a place to live.  I've talked to Mrs. Evans and she said that she would help out with anything that she can.  She doesn't agree with anything Philip said this morning."

"Thank you mom I love you so much.  I'm sorry you had to find out that I've slept with Max and Michael this way.  I mean I love Michael but I do love Max."  Maria as she heard someone walking out of the kitchen

"I thought I heard you come in.  Where were you had me so worried Maria?  Don't do that again please." 

"I'm sorry Max I couldn't take anymore I had to get away by myself.  I promise I won't go anywhere with out you knowing.  I'm sorry Max about your father.  I sorry I broke up your family."

"Maria Hun, you didn't.  He's the one that is losing because he'll never get to know he first grandchild.  I'm just sorry my mother is stuck in the middle."  As Max finished his sentence there was a knock on the door so Maria went to the door to answer it.

"Maria, I heard what happened with my father I'm sorry.  I still can be Auntie Isabel because Max told my mom that as long as she was with my father she can't see her grandchild.  All she has done all after noon was cry."  Izzy said while pulling Maria in to a huge hug.

"Isabel of course you can still be Auntie.  I wouldn't have it any other way you know that.  I will let your mother get to know her grandchild but I don't think I will ever forgive your father for what he said to me or about me this morning.  He isn't gonna make you stay away from us is he?"

"I wouldn't listen to him.  You and Max will have to get a restraining order to get rid of me and then that probably wont work either."  Isabel said with a laugh, which made Maria laugh for the first time since she found out she was pregnant and it felt good.

"Well come in I'm sure Max would love to see you after this afternoon."

"I wasn't sure if Max was here or not.  I have a suitcase with some cloths for him because my mother said that she talked to your mother and said that he could stay here but you know Max he doesn't like handouts from people."  Isabel said while walking into the living room where Max and Ms. Deluca were sitting.

"I heard that Isabel and it isn't a handout I'm going to be paying Ms. Deluca rent until I find my own place.  It might take awhile to find a three bedroom apartment that will rent to a high schooler."  Max said

"Why do you need a three room Max?"  Isabel asked with confusion

"Because I want Maria and the baby to live with me.  I want to be able to take care of them."  Max answered

"First you get her pregnant, now your talking about living together.  You are really scaring me Max Evans.  What happened to you and Liz?  Her and Michael?  I thought you loved them."  Isabel asked

"Max I don't like that idea to well either.  The last time the two of you were alone look what happened."  Ms. Deluca said.  "But if you really want your own place maybe Jim will help you out.  I mean you will be seeing a lot of him."

"Mom I can't live with you forever.  It's not like were leaving the state or even the town just in to an apartment here in town.  I'm not sure even if I'll move with Max.  This is the first time I've heard anything about it also.  And yes we know that Jim would help and I also know we will be seeing a lot of the sheriff.  I actually like having him around."  Maria said 

"I'm sorry Max, I just don't want to lose my little girl.  I can't believe my little girl is gonna be having a baby.  Maria I will be here for you, Max, and my grandchild anyway I can."

"Thanks Mom that means a lot to me.  How are we gonna face the people at school.  Isabel I know that your going to be part of our child's life and I'll understand if you have nothing to do with me at school because of Michael and Liz.  I don't want your life to be tore apart because of us."  Maria said with tears in her eyes.

"I better go.  It's getting late and my father will be home soon from work and I don't want to hear his lectures about being here.  I love you both and don't forget that."  Isabel said as she was walking towards the door.  "Oh yeah I'll see you BOTH in school on Monday.  TA TA for now."

"Bye Isabel, give our mother my love and tell her I'm sorry again."  Max said as Isabel walked out

***Monday at School***

Max and Maria pull into the school parking lot in Max's jeep talking about the events of the past few days.

"Max, I can't believe this.  I'm so nervous about going in there.  What will I do if I see Michael or Liz?"

"Maria quit panicking.  We better head in a get this over with."  Max said jumping out of the jeep and waited for Maria to join him before they headed towards the school.

"Okay, I'm going right to my first class I will see you at lunch.  Thanks again Max." Maria said heading towards her first class.

"See you later Maria."  Max called after her then turned towards his class.

"I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU SHOWED YOUR FACE IN SCHOOL TODAY.  NOW EVERYONE WILL KNOW WHAT A WHORE YOU REALLY ARE.  GETTING KNOCKED UP BY MAX WHILE YOU WERE WITH ME.  I CAN'T BELIEVE I EVER FELT ANYTHING FOR YOU MARIA.  I CAN'T STAND THE SITE OF YOUR FACE."  Michael yelled when he spotted Maria walking in the halls.

"MICHAEL, WHO THE HELL DO YOU THINK YOU ARE.  HOW DARE YOU CALL ME WHORE.  IF I REMEMBER CORRECTLY WHEN MAX AND I SLEPT TOGETHER YOU HAD BROKEN UP WITH ME YET AGAIN BECAUSE YOU'RE TO DANGEROUS AND YOU HAVE TO BE THIS BRICKWALL."  Maria said not realizing that about twenty people had gathered around them.  "I'M SORRY YOUR HURT THAT I'M PREGNANT BY MAX AND NOT YOU BUT I'M GLAD BECAUSE THIS CHILD WILL HAVE A GOOD FATHER BECAUSE IT ISN'T YOU.  FUCK OFF MICHAEL.  I NEVER WANT TO SEE YOU AGAIN."

"YOU THINK THAT I'M HURTING BECAUSE OF YOU.  I FEEL NOTHING BUT DISGUST FOR YOU.  I FEEL SORRY FOR THAT BABY BECAUSE HER MOTHER IS THE WHORE OF ROSWELL."  Next thing Michael new he was lying on his back on the ground with blood coming out of his nose.  He looked up to see who had hit him.  The look of hatred on his face when he realized that Maria had hit him.

"WHAT THE HELL, WHY THE FUCK DID YOU HIT ME YOU BITCH."

Else Where With Max

"Max have you seen Maria?  Wait isn't that Michael who is yelling."

"Oh shit that was Maria we better hurry."  Max said running towards the voices when he turned the corner he saw Maria socked Michael in the nose and he went down.

"Isabel you better hurry up."  Max yelled pushing his self through the crowd of people that had gathered around Michael and Maria.  He stopped to quick and Isabel ran into him.

"Did you see Maria hit Michael?"  Max asked Isabel

"No but I bet he deserved it.  You better get to her before she does something else and he loses all his temper."

Back to Maria and Michael

"YOU ACTUALLY HAVE THE NERVE TO ASK WHY I HIT YOU.  I'M SURE ANYBODY STANDING HERE COULD TELL YOU WHY I HIT YOU."  Maria yelled.  She started walking towards him but someone grabbed by her shoulders.  So she turned around to find out that Alex and Max had grabbed her shoulders to stop her.

"What do you think you're doing let me go.  That asshole deserves everything he gets."  Maria said to Max and Alex through gritted teeth.

"Maria stop your not thinking.  If a teacher comes over here, which you know will happen, you'll get in trouble if you hit him again.  Nice hit by the way."  Alex said trying to calm Maria down but it didn't help

"Alex remove your hands from me now or you might end up with my fist in your face.  I'm not going to hit him again.  At least I'll try not to."  Maria said but as she was turning around she was lifted off the ground and thrown over Max's shoulder.

"YEAH YOU BETTER GET HER OUT OF HERE BECAUSE IF SHE MAN ENOUGH TO HIT ME THEN SHE IS MAN ENOUGH FOR ME TO HIT HER BACK."  Michael yelled but he didn't expect what happened next.  Max put Maria down and turned to Michael and hit him in the nose again but Michael didn't fall like before.

"YOU COME ANYWHERE NEAR HER AND MY BABY MICHAEL AND I PROMISE THAT I WILL MAKE YOU REGRET IT AND YOU KNOW I CAN.  YOU ARE LOWEST OF ALL SCUM.  YOU NEVER DESERVED MARIA IN THE FIRST PLACE."  Max yelled then turned grabbing Maria and walked towards the exit.  But he could hear Michael yell back to him

"MAX, YOU TWO DESERVE EACH OTHER.  YOU ARE BOTH PIECES OF TRASH THAT KNOW ONE WANTS AROUND."  Michael yelled after them.

"You know what Michael, I never knew that I would despise you.  I thought you were like my brother but I don't want a brother that acts like you.  Stay away from Max and Maria or you'll pay."  Isabel said then grabbed Alex and went after Max and Isabel.

"Dammit what was I thinking?"  Michael said

"You were thinking that your girlfriend is pregnant by your best friend."  Liz said walking up behind Michael.

"Liz!  So how much did you hear and see?"

"Michael I saw the whole thing.  I never knew she could hit like that.  I'm just glad you were the one the fist hit.  You shouldn't have made such a big scene Michael.  I mean I am just as mad as you are but this was over kill on your part."

"Thanks Liz, I didn't need to hear that right now.  I know that I said that forgave them for sleeping together but she is pregnant.  I think I never actually forgave them.  I tried and I know that I slept with her but I never actually forgave them.  I always thought that I'd be her first and be the father to her children not Maxwell."  Michael said

"Michael I thought the same thing.  I didn't forgive them either.  I just said I did so that our group would be back together again plus I missed them.  I can't believe what Isabel said though.  This is none of her business this is between the four of us not the rest of the group."

"Isabel is just mad, I mean this is her brother and soon to be Niece or Nephew.  I knew that she would always side with family but I never thought that she would tell me that she doesn't want to be my brother anymore that hurt a little."

"Michael Guerin showing his feelings now that's a first."  Came a voice behind them

"Kyle I really don't need your shit right now I've had enough of arguing over Maria Deluca and Maxwell Evans I'm outta here.  I'll see you at work later Liz."  Michael said as he walked away."

***Later at the Crashdown***

"I can't believe we are this busy on a Monday.  Liz I thought Maria was on the schedule to work this evening?"  Agnes asked

"Agnes, Maria no longer works for the Crashdown Café.  She called my father and told him that she can no longer work here with Michael and she would not return to work.  But she didn't bring up the fact that she is pregnant with Max's baby either."  Liz answered

"Liz foods up.  I can't believe what Maria did to your father."  Michael said angrily.

"Michael calm yourself no need to get worked up again you knew this was coming.  If you didn't, then you're stupid.  She doesn't want to be around either of us."

"Liz please come into my office I need to speak to you right away."  Mr. Parker said.

"I'll be right back Michael."  Liz said walking towards her father's office.  "Yeah dad is something wrong?" 

"Yes, I was wonder why Maria just up and quit because I know that her and Michael have had problems before and she never quit."

"Dad, I know the reason but it isn't for me tell you.  I think you should talk to Maria?  I'm not really talking to her either."  Liz said

"Oh really what happen Liz, she is your best friend.  She couldn't have done something that bad for you not to talk to her."  Said Mr. Parker

"She did something that I think is bad enough but you are not going to trick me into telling you why Maria up and quit so I better go I've got customers waiting."

"Well with Maria gone that means I'll have to give you more hours.  I'll spilt Maria shift between you and Anges so go back to work."

***Maria's House***

Maria is sitting on the couch with her knees pulled up to her chest with her head on her knees when she hears a knocking at the door.

"Maria, I will get it you stay there."  Max said opening the front.  "Mr. Parker what are doing here."

"Well, Max it's nice to see you too.  I'm actually here to talk to Maria about her quitting at the café.  Is she here?  Wait what are you doing her Max why aren't you with Liz?"

"She is in the living room.  I will take you to her."  Max said avoiding the questions that Mr. Parker asked

"Maria, Mr. Parker is here to talk to you.  Would you like if I stayed?"

"Max I think I can handle it."  Maria said looking up finally and tried smiling through her tears.  Max nodded and walked into the kitchen.

"Maria, are you okay?"  Mr. Parker asked.

"No everything is not okay.  I think you should sit down before I continue."  Maria said looking at Mr. Parker through her bloodshot eyes

"You know you can tell me anything Maria."

"I know Mr. Parker but I didn't want to tell you everything over the phone.  I planned on coming to the Café tomorrow to talk to you."

"Well I'm here now so go ahead and talk I'm listening."

"Okay first I should tell you that I'm two months pregnant but that isn't the bad thing.  It isn't Michael baby but Max Evans baby.  When Max and Liz were broke up Max and I slept together.  Remember when I needed the couple weeks off it was because I was fighting with Michael and Liz because Michael caught us at his apartment having sex on his couch."  Maria stopped to see Mr. Parker's face.  But his face looked blank.  "Well they said they forgave us about a month later but then I was late and I thought that I was only a month late and that would have made it Michael's but the doctor said I was 2 months and that's how I know it is Max's baby.  I wasn't going to quit but then today in school Michael and I got into this huge argument in front of everybody in school and I punched him.  I can't even look at him without wanting to hit him.  So there is the whole reason.  I'm sorry Mr. Parker that I hurt Liz and you but I don't regret anything that has happened."  Maria said which made her cry even harder.

"I don't know what to say.  Why is Max here now?"

"Max is living here because his father disowned him when he found out that I was pregnant.  He'll only be here until he can get enough money to get us an apartment."  Maria said

"Okay, I think I should go.  I don't think you or Max should come back to restaurant.  I don't want you hurting Lizzie any worse then you already have.  I'm sorry I have to say that Maria.  I will mail your last check to you."  Mr. Parker said walking for the door.

"I am really sorry Mr. Parker."  Maria said before she broke down sobbing.

Max heard everything that had been said because he was standing at the door so when he heard her start sobbing he went to Maria and grabbed her into a big hug.

"It is going to be okay Maria.  I'll make it better."  Max said with tears in his eyes.

"I don't think you can Maxwell."  Maria finally said

***Six Months Later***

"Max do you have all your stuff packed today is moving day."  Maria asked

"Yes Maria I have all our stuff packed.  I don't want you lifting anything Alex, Kyle and I will carry everything to the car.  Isabel and Tess should be here soon to take to our place and help you up the stairs."

"Aren't you funny with that stair crack.  I can't help that I'm so huge, there are two babies in there."  Maria said with a smile

"Sweetie I know that.  It's just I couldn't help myself."  Max said laughing.

"Max what are you laughing at?  I hope your not making cracks about how big she is because then I'll have to hurt you."  Isabel said coming in the front door.

"Well dear sister of mine that is exactly what I was doing.  So what are you going to do about?"  Max asked with a smirk on his face.

"Just this."  Isabel said with a wave of her hand and down went Max's boxers and pants.  Which made everybody crack up.

"That was good Isabel, I don't think I've laughed that hard in a long time."  Maria said with tears running down her face from laughing so hard.

"You thought that was funny."  Max said walking up behind Maria and putting his arms around her to tickle her huge belly.

"Oh isn't that sweet.  Mommy and Daddy looking happy."  Kyle said walking down the stairs with his arms full of boxes.

"Shut up Kyle.  At least now you'll have an extra room to put your Buddha stuff in.  Wait know you wont because you actually get your own room instead of the couch or floor."  Maria joked

"I still can't believe that Max and Tess got a room before I did.  I mean your mother
and my father were married and the two who aren't family got rooms."  Kyle complained

"Well Kyle I did live here before you did."  Max said with a laugh.

"HAHA Maxwell."  Kyle said with a smile.  "Well that's because you knocked my sister up."

"Well this is weird."  Came a voice from the kitchen door.  When everyone heard it they all looked to the voice.

"Liz, what a nice surprise."  Max said sarcastically.  Which got him an elbow in the stomach.

"I'm sorry, I didn't know everyone would be here I came to talk to Kyle about something."  Liz said back

"Liz, I thought I told you that this weekend wasn't good to talk."  Kyle said finishing his way down the stairs.

"It is okay we were just on our way out."  Max said while turning to Kyle.  "Just put that in your car and bring it to the house when you're done talking.  You do remember how to get there?"

"Yes Max, I've only lived there my whole life."  Kyle said laughing

"Okay see you there."  Everyone said together which made them laugh again.

"So Liz what is it you need to talk about."

"Nothing actually, I just wanted to see everyone.  I didn't know that Maria was so big.  How is she gonna fit into the desk at school?"

"Well, Maria is carrying twins.  She isn't sure if she is gonna be able to start school next week.  The Principal doesn't want her to come until after the babies are born.  But I shouldn't be telling you all this.  So if there isn't anything you wanna talk about I have to go help Max and Maria settled in at their new place."

"One more question Kyle then I'll leave.  Are they dating each other or just friends?"

"Liz, that is really none of your business or mine but I will tell you this that we've gotten really close to each other over the summer."

"Who is we?"

"Well Max, Alex, and I are in separable.  Never thought that you would hear that did you.  That Max Evans and Kyle Valenti are best friends.  Isabel, Tess and Maria they are the same way.  After Max was kicked out of his home Isabel spent most of her time with Maria.  Then my dad adopted Maria after the wedding in May.  So basically we've all lived together all summer.  Plus we built another room on at my old house so that there would be four rooms."

"Well, I will leave now I'm due to work today.  I've been working a lot of extra hours because we are short a waitress and my dad will not hire some else.  See next week at school.  Bye"

"Liz, did you know that your dad came over to see Maria the day she quit?"

"No, he never told me.  I knew he left but he said he had to go meet someone for the Café."

"Well he came and saw Maria, she told him everything then he told her that it would be a good idea if Max and her not come back to the café.  That is why you haven't seen any of us.  We weren't ignoring you, well at least Alex, Tess, and I aren't.  I think that you need to talk to Max and Maria and get things straighten out because you're gonna miss out on the twins life.  I've got to go or Maria will throw me down the stairs if she can catch me.  It was nice seeing you Liz Bye."  With that said Kyle picked up the box let Liz go out and left to go to his sister house.

***Max and Maria's House***

Everyone except Kyle is sitting in the living room waiting for Kyle to get there to start unpacking and moving things around.

"Where is he?  I'm going to have to hurt him if he doesn't get here soon.  I still can't believe she actually came over to our house without calling or whatever."  Tess said

"Tess she has the right to talk to Kyle anytime she wants but I agree she shouldn't have just showed up like that."  Max said

"Yeah but Kyle did tell her that this wasn't a good weekend because he was busy but she still showed up like that.  Maria are you all right?"  Isabel asked

"Yeah, I'm fine.  I thought it would have been weird seeing her especially the way Max and I were standing but it wasn't.  I was just glad that everyone was there.  I wonder what she had to talk to Kyle about?"  Maria said

"Well she really didn't want to talk to me about anything important.  She asked if you and Max were dating and I told her it wasn't any of her business but I did tell that the six of us did get a lot closer over the summer.  She was shocked to her that Max and I are best friends."  Kyle said walking through the door.  "I also asked if she knew that her dad came by to talk to you and she said she didn't know anything about it but I told her what happen.  Maria also thought that you would like to know that Mr. Parker hasn't filled your position and Liz said that he wont either."

"Well, that's good I guess but I'll never be able to go back there and work as long as Michael is still working there.  I mean once they find out that Max and I are dating they will hate us again.  I never thought that I would be able to say that I'm actually over Michael Guerin."  Maria said

"I know what you mean.  Liz will always be my first love but when I saw her today I thought that my old feelings would come back.  They didn't but I can tell you that I got a pain in my stomach when I saw her."  Max said

"You got a pain, like a longing pain?  You want her back."  Maria said on the verge of tears

"I didn't say that all I said was I got a pain in my stomach.  The pain was you elbowing me."  Max said with a huge smile on his face.

"You jerk I can't believe you.  That wasn't even funny."  Maria said while turn to face Max.  "I thought that you were gonna leave me and our babies."

"I will never do that I promise you that."

"Enough you two, you're going to make me puke up my lunch."  Kyle said with a laugh.

"We better get to work or we are never gonna get this done."  Alex said.  Then every one got busy put boxes back to where they have to go.

***First Day of School***

Max, Maria, Isabel, and Alex drove to school together because Alex and Isabel stayed at Max and Maria new house.

"Maria I can't believe that you are actually coming to school.  You were tossing and turning all night long."  Max said.  "I should know I have bruises all over my legs from the kicks."

"I'm sorry Max, I was having some weird dreams.  I make up for it later."  Maria said leaning in and giving him a kiss.

"Well, Maria we have the same first class."  Isabel said

"Actually Isabel we have our first three classes together and I have my last three with Max.  I think Alex and I have two classes together and we all have the same lunch."  Maria said happily.

"I think Tess and Kyle have lunch with us too."  Max said

"Okay we are just making conversation so we don't have to face everybody in there."  Isabel said

"I think I'm waiting because I know the principal is gonna yell when he see my stomach.  I mean my stomach does stick out 2 miles ahead of me."  Maria joked

"Maria, stop you still look beautiful."  Max said with a huge smile.  "Okay lets go."

Isabel, Alex, and Max jumped out of the jeep while Maria tried not to fall out.

"Could someone please help me out of this Jeep?"  Maria asked

"Sorry, We are coming."  Isabel said.

Finally Maria got out of the jeep and they started walking towards school and you
see Max grabbed Maria's hand while Alex grabbed Isabel's hand.  Once they got inside the school everybody started staring and talking about Maria and Max.

"I don't think I can handle this Max.  I knew people would stare, I look like a fucking building but they are talking about me.  I swear I just heard someone say that I was a slut because I was sleeping with best friends.  I mean most people know the whole story because of last year."  Maria said gripping Max's hand harder.

"Maria Hun, please loosen your grip or you might break it."  Max said in pain.

"Oh Sorry didn't realize what I was doing just a little to much stress."  Maria said.  "Well here is my locker, Max are you gonna use it?"

"Yes I am."  Max said while bending down and kissing Maria passionately.  After they broke apart.

"Wow, what was that for?"  Maria said with a huge smile.

"Aren't I allowed to kiss my girlfriend and the mother of my children."  Max said

"Okay I've seen enough, Max get going.  You can't be late for your first class.  Plus I have to wait for Maria to waddle to class.  That could take us awhile."  Isabel joked.  Which made them all laugh.

"Okay I'll go but if something happens you come get me you have my schedule.  I love you Maria."  Max said then kissed her again

"I know to get you, both Isabel and I have your schedule.  I love you to Maxwell."  Maria said with a smile.

"Bye Alex see you later."  Maria said.  While turning to go to class.  "Are you coming Isabel?"

"I'm coming, It's okay for you and Max to kiss goodbye but not me and Alex."  Isabel joked while following Maria to class.

"What are you doing after school today?  Max has to work so he can pay our bills."

"Well, I have to go with my mom some where but after that I can come over."

"Sounds good to me.  Well here is our class let's go in."  Maria and Isabel walk in but Maria stops dead in her tracks when she saw who was sitting in the class.  But she forgot Isabel was coming in behind her until Isabel ran into her and made her fall down on to her hands and knees.

"Omigod Maria I'm so sorry.  Are you okay?  Why did you stop like that?  Did I hurt you."  Isabel asked

"Isabel calm down I'm fine.  I'm sorry I stopped like that but would you just help me up I can't do it on my own."  Maria said

"Do you need some help?"  Came Michael's gruff voice.

"No Michael, Isabel and I have it.  Sorry I didn't mean to make such a scene."  Maria said

"Maria Deluca, I was told you wouldn't be joining our lovely class until a later time.  I think you should come with me to see the principal.  You to Mr. Guerin I'm sure they told you that you being the father that you would have to help Ms. Deluca."

"Mr. Porter he isn't the father of my babies, Max Evans is plus my name isn't Deluca anymore it is Valenti as in Sheriff Valenti.  I have two people that will be helping me.  Max is one and Isabel is the other.  Why do I have to see the principal I didn't do anything wrong."  Maria said

"I didn't expect to hear that about Mr. Evans he always seemed so responsible unlike Mr. Guerin."  Mr. Porter said

"Mr. Porter first off it is none your business who the father of my babies are.  Max is responsible but so is Michael in his life.  Please take me to the Principal I'm sure he'd love to hear what you think of your students.  I'm sure I know what you think of me but I could careless because I've never been happier then I am now.  I'm sorry class about my disruption it won't happen again.  Now I must go get kicked out of school because I'm pregnant but not like all of you weren't talking about that this morning when I walk into school with my huge belly."  Maria said with anger in her voice

"I'll take Maria.  I'm sorry about pushing you."  Isabel said feeling guilty

"Don't worry about it.  I can't believe what Mr. Porter said back there.  I know I shouldn't have said anything the way I did but I lost my patience with everyone talking and staring at me like that."

"I'm more shocked that you stood up for Michael.  I figured you would have agreed with Mr. Porter."

"I can't believe I said that either.  I mean I'm not in love with Michael anymore.  I'm in love with Max.  Now that sounds weird coming from me.  I don't even know what I feel for Michael anymore.  I mean I feel bad about what happened but I'm glad that it happened this way because I've never been happier then I am now.  I have the greatest boyfriend, 2 best friends that I don't know what I'd do if they weren't around, I have the best brother, and then there is Alex that I just love."

"I know what you mean.  I'm not happy that Max and my dad can't stand each other but I've never been closer to anyone like I am to the five of you.  If you had asked me last year if I'd be best friends with you and Tess, and actually like Kyle I would have laughed in your face.  I mean we were friends but not like we are now."  Isabel said.  "Well here we are at the principals office.  I'll leave to go get Max so he can do his thing to keep you in school."

"OK see you in a few."

"Ms. Deluca I've been waiting for you.  I thought I told you that I didn't want you to attend your classes till after you had your baby."  Said Principal Harris

"First, my last name is Valenti not Deluca.  Second, I'm having twins so that would be babies.  Plus you can't tell me I can't attend my classes because I'm pregnant.  I can sue the school if the denies me my education and guess what I will because what you are doing is called bull shit."

"Ms. Valenti please watch your language.  I can because you will be causing problems with other students in this school such as Mr. Guerin and Ms. Parker.  I already talked to Mr. Porter and he told me you already caused a scene in his class."

"Yes I did because he assumed Michael was the father of my babies so when I told him that Michael wasn't and Max was he had the nerve to say that he thought Max was the responsible one and Michael was not.  So I brung it to his attention that both Max and Michael are both responsible for there own thing.  I told the class I was sorry for the disruption but like they haven't talked and stared at me all morning anyways.  I'm sure the school board would love to hear what you and Mr. Porter think of Max, Michael, and I."

"That is enough Ms. Valenti.  I have the right to suspend you for disobedience and that's just what I'm going to do.  The maximum time for that is four weeks and that is what I'm going to do."

"Whatever Mr. Harris, I could care less what you do to me.  I have people who care enough that will help me pass my classes even if I'm not here.  You know what since I'm already suspend for four weeks why don't I tell you what I think of you and Mr. Porter."

"Maria, stop it right now."  Max said walking up behind her and grabbing her hand.

"Mr. Evans nice of you to show up.  I think you should take Maria home before she causes any more trouble."

"Well Mr. Harris if I heard everything right it would be Mr. Porter who started all this trouble in the first place so if Maria is being suspended then what is Mr. Porter going to get for saying rude things about his student.  I mean he could have shown some respect and not said these thing in front of one the students then said the other to the guys sister and pregnant girlfriend.  I'm sure the school board will love to her this consider Maria 's dad is Sheriff Valenti.  I'm sure he will help us.  Mr. Harris it was
nice talking to you."  Max said turning with Maria and walking out of the office.

***Lunch with Michael & Liz***

Michael sees Liz sitting at there usually table except the only other person there is Alex.  So Michael walks over and sits down.

"Hey Liz, what's up?  Can I talk to you for a few minutes?"  Michael asked

"Sure, what is the problem?"  Liz asked

"Well I have to go.  Talk to you later Liz."  Alex said as he walked off.

"Liz, why does Maria keep saying babies?  I mean she like went off at Mr. Porter and kept saying that the father of her babies is Max Evans."

"Michael, Maria is going to have twins.  That is why her stomach is so large.  Did you hear that she was suspended today for disruption?  Alex told me that Isabel and Max were both in the office when it happened.  Max went off on Principal Harris."

"Yeah, I heard."

"I think I'm going to talk to Maria and Max, I really miss them.  I want them back in my life."  Liz said

"I'm not sure I'm ready for that but I hope that everything works out for you.  Well I better go I'll talk to at work."  Michael said as he turned and left.

***After School at Max and Maria's House***

Max, Isabel, Maria, Alex, Kyle, and Tess are sitting in the kitchen discussing the events of the day when they hear a knock on the front door.

'I'll get it."  Tess said as she got up and went for the front door.

"I wonder who is here I mean everyone we hang out with is here."  Alex said

"Max, Maria could you come into the living room please by yourselves."  Tess yelled

"Well be back.  Don't leave until we do."  Maria said grabbing Max's hand and walking to the living room but when they got to the kitchen door open Max turned Maria to him and gave her a passionate kiss without realizing that everyone in the kitchen and living room could see him.

"Um you two that is enough."  Tess said giving Liz a sympathetic smile because she saw the look on her face when Max kissed Maria.

"Why Tess you've seen us…" Maria let her sentence trail off when she saw Liz standing in their living room.  "Liz what are you doing here?"

"I..ah…came to talk to the both of you but I think it is a bad time.  I better go."  Liz said while turning to leave.

"Liz don't go we do need to talk.  Tess could you leave us, everyone is still in the kitchen."  Maria said but as Tess was walking by Maria leaned in a whispered "Don't ease drop because Max does have power to move our kitchen door."

"Okay I won't promise."  Tess said rolling her eyes.

"So Liz what exactly do you want to talk about."  Max asked casually.

"I actually came to tell Maria I was sorry about her getting suspended.  I thought that it was wrong that it happened.  Plus I wanted to tell you both that I've missed you and that I have forgiven you both."

"I'm glad to hear that you have forgiven us Liz.  That means a lot to us.  I know we've both missed you and as you saw earlier that things have changed in the past six months.  I'm in love with Maria.  We are expecting parents and I have the best friends that I've always wanted."  Max said

"I've wanted to come talked to the both of you for awhile now but I couldn't get up the nerve.  I was gonna try the other day at Maria's old house but then you weren't the friendliest so I lied.  I asked Kyle if the two of you we dating but he told me that it was none of my business.  I always thought that when we got passed this that I would be able to get my best friend and boyfriend back but I see that I can't have both because I screwed that up six months ago."  Liz said on the verge of tears. 

"Liz I'm sorry that you had to find about Max and I the way you did.  But I'm not sorry, I've never been happier then I've been the last six months with Max.  I will always love Michael but I've fallen out love with him."  Maria said.  " Also we understand if you still can't be our friend.  I would like you to be in our babies lives." 

Maria said with tears running down her face.  When Max saw the tears he pulled her into a hug.
"I'm also sorry about being rude the other day.  I was just shocked to see you.  I'm sorry that you had to find about Maria and I the way you did but I knew that Michael and you were both going to find out one way or the other.  I miss our friendship but Liz I'm not in love with you anymore.  I'm sorry I hurt you so bad.  I never meant to but like Maria said I've never been happier."  Max said giving Maria another squeeze.  "Also I would like to be the one who tells Michael about Maria and I.  I don't want him to take it out on anyone but me."

"Max and Maria, I'm glad that you to have found happiness together.  I would also like to work on our friendships.  I know it will take me awhile to get use to people calling you guys a couple but I miss you both.  Plus I don't want to miss out on the babies lives.  Max I give you the pleasure to tell Michael just make sure no sharp objects are around because I know that he hasn't forgiven you both yet but I know he still loves Maria with his heart and soul because he told me."  Liz said with the tears now flowing down her cheeks.

"Liz come here and give me, Fatty, a hug."  Maria said while walking towards Liz.  When Liz was close enough Maria gave a big hug.  "I've missed Liz."

"I've missed you too."  Liz said

"Liz, I want a friendship but I don't think we'll ever be as close because I have Isabel and Tess and you've missed the last six months of my life and they have been there.  I just don't want no friendship with you."  Maria said walking back over to Max.

"Well, I've got to get back to work.  Oh yeah, I'm sorry about what my father told you abo
