Authors Note-OK soooooo I totally hated Alex dying and I didn't like Tess getting pregnant (who did)? So lets just think back to first season (but Kyle is a friend) everyone is a senoir in high school!!! ( No Jese Isabel sorry!)

As Max Evans got in his jeep with his six best friends, Michael Guerin, Isabel Evans (his sister), Liz Parker, Maria DeLuca, Alex Whitman and Kyle Valenti. Max turned the keys and started driving in to the desert. They were all going to go on a camping trip. It was nice to get away from their busy lives in Roswell. As they drove Maria leaned forward and asked Michael,
"Where are we going again?"
"Valley Hills its a forest area" he replied
"Oh" Maria said
"And you guys have been there before do you know where to set up and all that right?" Liz asked.
"Um... not exactly" Michael said
"Oh that's wonderful" Liz said
"Well find a spot" Max said to her
That was the first time in three weeks Max had talked directly to Liz sense their break up. Liz happy he had finally broken the "no talking barrier" between them said
"OK well If you know what your doing........" she trailed off
They drove in silence then Alex broke it
" Are we almost there we been driving for forever!"
"Ya that's what it seems like" Isabel said at the same time.
"Ya were almost there" Max replied
As they pulled up to a tree near a stream, Kyle said,
"Well this seems like a good place"
"Ya it dose" Maria said
"I agree" Isabel said
Alex was first out of the car helping Isabel down then Kyle jumped out then Maria then Liz.
Michael went to the back of the jeep to get all their stuff. Max helped him unload.
After they had all set up there stuff and had gotten a fire going, Liz and Maria brought the cooler over and opened it starting to name all the choices they had to eat that night.
" Ok, we have hot dogs hamburgers and marshmallow" Maria said
" To drink we have coke, water, sprite, orange juice and gross who brought the bottle of hot sauce?"
"That would be mine" Michael said reaching for it.
"Oh ya we also have chips."
" Lets have the hot dogs" Max said
"That sounds good Alex, Isabel and Kyle said
"Ya......" Liz said
After dinner they all sat talking around the fire. After a while they all went to sleep. The next day Kyle and Isabel, Alex left to go hiking for the day. Maria and Liz said they were going to go explore some nearby cave. Michael kissed Maria good-bye while Liz watched Max looked up but quickly looked down again. The two girls walked into a cave. They walked and talked.
"Why did you and Max break up?" Maria asked Liz
"Well it seems that he doesn't need any interference in his life like a girlfriend right know he seems to caught up in his alien business to even notice I'm there sometimes." Liz answered
"Oh" Maria said
"Lets stop and rest here " Liz said
They sat down and talked a little about everything going on in their lives. They stopped a moment to the sound of cracking or crunching. They both looked down the ground was cracking.
"Oh my gosh hurry move" Liz yelled
But it was too late the ground gave way.
After all the falling rock had fallen Maria who was hanging onto the edge of the rock looked down Liz's feet were barley visible under all the rock that had fallen on her.
"Oh gosh she's dead my best friend is dead!" Maria thought.
OK if I can just pull my self up I can get back to the campsite and get help. With all she could mange she pulled her self up she got up and ran as fast as he could out of the cave and towards the campsite. The others hadn't come back from hiking but Max and Michael were there having a marshmallow fight.
"Guys!" she yelled help
Immediately they looked at her.
Trying to catch her breath she managed to say.
"Liz......trapped....under...fallen rock...."
"What!!" They both said running to where Maria showed them. Maria jogged be hind them
"Guys...... faster she could be dead."
As Maria showed them the place where the rock fell Max looked down he could only she a little of Liz's dark hair and the tip of her shoe.
" Oh my gosh" Michael whispered.
"Come on we have to get her out from under there" Max said
The two boys climbed down careful not to step on any thing they thought could be Liz. They started pulling rock off of Liz. Soon all the rock was off her. Her shirt was torn at the shoulder she had cuts up and down her arms she had blood coming out of the top of her forehead. Max leaned down and carefully picked her up he slowly climbed back up the steep rock. Max was relived to hear her breathing but it was very slight. He took her back to the camp sight. He gently laid her down on his sleeping bag. Maria held so tight onto Michael's shoulder her nails were beginning to hurt him but he didn't say anything. Max started to whisper in Liz's ear.
"Liz wake up! Come on wake up" he said starting to fear she had gone into a coma.
"Liz come on" Max said again He started to stroke her cheek. They sat there watching her. Max stood up and walked over to the fire pit he sat down Michael came over and sat next to him.
"It's going to be ok man she'll wake up. Do think we should call 911?"
"My cell-phone is dead." Max replied
Maria sat next to Liz silent tears coming down her face. She sat there talking to Liz and holding her hand. As Maria looked away to see what the boys were doing she heard a tiny sound
"Mari........Maria?"
Maria looked down Liz's eyes were open she quickly tried to sit up but Maria stopped her.
"No lay down." Maria said
Max looked around.
"Liz !" he said he jumped up and ran over to her kneeling down next to her. She looked at him.
"hi" she said barley above a whisper
"Hi" he said back
soon the others came back. Michael and Maria went over to them and told them the whole story. Max sat there the whole afternoon running his fingers through Liz's hair
"Max" she said "go eat have something besides you should be talking over with everyone else"
" No its perfect being right here with you" he said
Soon Alex brought Liz's sleeping bag over next to Max. Max gently moved Liz into her sleeping bag. After everyone had fallen asleep Max got in his bag and wrapped his arms around Liz bringing her close to him. Liz woke up in Max's arms in the middle of the night. Right where she wanted to be she thought as she got closer to him.
The next morning Liz woke up last. She changed while no one was looking and walked slowly to sit next to Max. He wrapped his arm around her and offered her a hamburger. Before they all left Max called Liz behind a big willow tree.
"I'm glad your ok" he said
"Why do you say that" Liz said
"I was....I was afraid you had gone into a coma or worse." Max replied
"Oh" Liz said
Max leaned forward Liz and him kissed for the first time in a month. They stood there hugging each other.
"Liz?" Max asked
"Yes?"
"lets stay together for good now ok?" Max said
"Yeah that sounds really nice" Liz said
They walked hand in hand to the car Liz sat behind Max. When they got back to Roswell everyone went to the Crashdown for dinner. After everyone had left and Liz and Max and Michael and Maria closed the restaurant the four sat down and talked after Michael and Maria left Max gave Liz a good-night kiss
"I'll see you in the morning he said"
"Ok" Liz responded
