Muse #19 - A character(s) must remember a time, a place, or a person that has

changed their life.

Well, that should be obvious, shouldn't it? Max Evans and his love for Liz
changed all of our lives....

Kyle: I was crazy about Liz Parker. We had only been dating through the
summer and she was great! Who knows? If Max hadn't saved her that day, we might
have been happily married now.

Liz: Kyle, if Max hadn't saved me that day, I'd have been long dead now. Just
another victim of a crazy accident. Until then I had never paid serious
attention to Max Evans. He was attractive, but shy and remote. I always had several
close friends. I didn't need to seek someone like Max out. When I really saw
Max... he became my world.

Michael: I know what you mean. (laughs) Oh, I've never felt the way YOU do
about Maxwell... but I still remember the first time I saw him. There was
something compelling about him even then. He drew me to him and I felt that being
his friend had always been my destiny. (laughs again and shakes head) Turns out
it was. For real.

Isabel: Yes. It was absolutely clear to me that I belonged with him. No one
needed to tell me that I was his sister. I just knew it. More than anyone else
in my life, Max has defined it and made me who I am today... a fugitive from a
weird government agency.

Liz: Isabel, you were always an alien; Max did not make you one.

Isabel: No... but he is the one who exposed us for who we are.

Liz: I'm not in a position to regret that.

Kyle: Neither am I. Not really. I spent the better part of a year hating Max
and everything he stood for... even before I knew who he was. Even so, when I
was shot, it was Max who saved my life. Did he change it? Totally. Do I regret
it? I don't think so.... I gained dimension from my contact with Max and,
while I am different, I wouldn't go back.

Maria: Neither would I. Oh, Max never healed me and I'm not in love with him.
If he had never healed Liz, though, I would never have known about the aliens
among us. I would never have been more than just another classmate around
Michael Guerin. My life would be far more ordinary than it promises to be. I can
hardly wait to see what happens next!

Isabel: What makes you think it's anything to look forward to?

Maria: I'm with my favorite people in the world. What could be better?
Whatever happens, we're together.

Liz: (hugs Maria) Yes, we are... Max shaped and changed all our lives.

Alex: Even mine.

Isabel: Oh, Alex! Whenever I think about what we did to you....

Alex: (shaking his head) Isabel, knowing all of you and who you really are
changed me from an ordinary geek who loved music to....

Isabel: (interrupting) A ghost.

Alex: More than that. Like Kyle, like Liz, like Maria... I gained from
knowing you. The world opened up and my life might have been shorter, but it was
richer because Max saved my friend Liz who needed a favor and involved me... and
ultimately trusted me with your secret. You only accepted my love because you
knew that I loved the REAL you. My life could not have gotten better. No
regrets here.

Max: You know who really shaped all this? Not me. It was you, Liz. You are so
totally wonderful, totally loveable!  The moment I first saw you transformed
my life and enchanted me forever. I couldn't lose you before we found each
other.YOU are the one who changed all of our lives.
