Stream - Armor - Flourish - Permission ~*~ Michael cursed under his breath as he gathered wood for the dwindling fire. With his arms full he started back towards the camp site, when he heard raised voices. He froze at the mumblings of a heated argument. He dropped the wood and ran back to the camp site, fearing that the enemy had found them. He rounded the corner to see four shocked faces sitting by the crackling fire. "What happened?" They glanced at each other as Maria crossed to him, "Kyle he- he-" "He, what?" Michael questioned as he glanced at the angry faces before him. "He went ballistic-" Max replied bitterly. "He accused us of being selfish and for ruining his life!" "You can't blame him," Maria sighed as she wrapped her arms around Michael. "But, he didn't have to go off on all of us- it's just not like him." "Where is he?" Michael asked as the others shrugged and Maria pointed past the dry stream bed. Michael sighed and looked to Max for guidance and found him staring off into space. "Are you going to sit on your ass, or go get him?" "He needs to cool off-" Max growled in response. "Some leader you are-" Michael whispered under his breath and turned to Maria. "I'll be back." "Be careful," Maria whispered as she kissed his hand. "He's exhibiting powers." "Perfect," Michael groined as he briefly glared at Max before turning to find Kyle. He walked in the direction he ran off to. After a short distance he saw a bright flourish of light linger in the nights sky. "Valenti?" he called out as Kyle came into view. "What?" He replied dryly. "Come to play the heroic soldier?" "Forgot to pack my armor," Michael replied with a grin trying to lighten the mood. "Oh. What would the boy king say about that?" Kyle snapped as an unearthly glow radiated from his skin. "Max is not-" "Whatever," he grumbled in response as branches of electricity snapped on his skin. "Then why must he give his permission for everything we do? Why is he ruling over us now? Who the fuck does he think he is?" Michael sighed as he watched emotions flicker across his face, "this isn't like you-" "Like me?" Kyle gasped. "You don't know anything about me." "You are an open book-" Michael began as Kyle tensed. "You'd be surprised by the secrets I keep-" "Secrets?" Michael questioned. "The 'I know aliens' secret?" "Not exactly," Kyle sighed as he sank to the ground. "I can't do this anymore-" "What?," Michael groaned as Kyle laughed in response. An awkward silence filled the air as Michael noticed the tears in Kyle's eyes. "I can't hide anymore," Kyle whispered, his voice wavering. Michael sat down beside him and looked off into the distance. "Is this about Tess?" "I failed her, I betrayed her," Kyle began. "I let you all believe that it was her-" Michael turned to him as his words sunk in, "Kyle?" "Did you regret killing Pierce?" "Pierce?" Michael choked out as images of his death flashed before him. "Were you sad?" Kyle asked as Michael stared at him, unable to speak. "Did your body tingle with excitement as you realized you had the power to kill?" Kyle questioned as Michael glared at him and grabbed his tattered shirt. "Then maybe, just maybe you know how I feel-" Michael's grip loosened and his gaze locked with Kyle's. "How you feel?" He repeated as Kyle broke their gaze. "Who?" "Who do you think?" Kyle whispered. "Who is missing from the group?" "Alex-" Michael gasped. Kyle nodded as he closed his eyes, "Tess didn't kill him. I did-" "Is this a joke?" Michael questioned. "I killed Alex, what the fuck do you not get?" Kyle snapped. "You couldn't have-" "Couldn't I?" Kyle questioned. "He was attacking Tess, it was true she was mindwarping him into decoding the book. Who the fuck ,do you think gave her the idea?" Michael blinked as he tried to process his confession. "She was drained, the mindwarp wasn't working- he had his hands wrapped around her neck. She was gasping for air and I grabbed a trophy and I whacked him." "But, you said-" "I lied." "He was tying to kill her and our unborn child." Kyle growled. "I wanted him dead. I could taste it-" "Whoa-" Michael gasped. "You and Tess?" "And you said I was an open book," Kyle laughed. "What do you think now?" "Everything was a lie-" Michael whispered. "Oh, there is no fooling you-" Kyle replied dryly. "And you know what the best part was?" "What?" "Fucking over Max-" Kyle smirked. Kyle leaned over as Michael stared him, "can you guess why I came? Why I am telling you all of this?" Michael was taken aback by his question. He stared at Kyle as Kyle inched closer to him. He could feel his warm breath on his neck. "I-" Michael began as Kyle's lips touched his. Michael gasped at his touch as Kyle pushed him back to the ground. Kyle pined him to the ground as Michael struggled briefly before giving into the animalistic urge he felt. Their kiss deepened as Michael's mouth open eagerly, his tongue seeking out his. Michael groaned in response as Kyle's hand roamed his body. Michael mimicked his movements and soon they were undressed under the moonlit sky. Feeding on pure lust and need they succumbed to each other. In a flash of light and shimmer of colors, they climaxed. The natural alien high filled their bodies and united them. They collapsed to the ground and Kyle pulled away from Michael's touch. "Kyle?" Michael questioned as a lustful haze lingers around him. "Now, you have secrets as well-" Kyle whispered as he kisses Michael's lips one last time. "What now?" "You go back to Maria, and you will forget this ever happened." Michael stared blankly at him as Kyle shut his eyes and concentrated on an image. Kyle opened his eyes and watched sadly as Michael dressed and left him alone in the darkness of night. After a few minutes, Kyle followed after him. Kyle stopped in his tracks as he heard rustling in the brush around him. An arm reached out to him and pulled him back into the brush. Michael pinned Kyle to the tree. "Don't you try to fuck with my brain again!" Kyle flinched as Michael pressed his body to his. "Get off me-" Kyle growled as Michael smirked. "Apparently your little mind trick doesn't work as well on aliens," Michael whispered as he grinded his hips into his. He grinned at the response of Kyle's toned body. "Your delusional," Kyle growled. "Am I?" He smirked as his lips lingered an inch away from Kyle's. "I don't know what you did to me- I'm not gay." "If you say so," Kyle whispered as he leaned in and kissed his lips. Their kiss depended, their tongues touching and caressing each others. Michael pulled away and let go of Kyle, "Just so you know-" Kyle smirked at his retreating form. "Oh, I know." They returned back to the camp site all eyes on Kyle. "What?" he questioned as he shrugged and went to his tent. "He just needs a little time," Michael explained as Maria reached out to him and wrapped her arms around him. The others nodded and retired to their tents. "What happened out there?" Maria asked as they too went to their tent. "Nothing-" Michael whispered as Maria snuggled against him. "Nothing?" Maria questioned. "You were out there for hours-" "We were just blowing off some steam," Michael replied as Maria traced lazy circles on his chest. He closed his eyes, recalling Kyle's rough, sensual touch. "You think he will be ok?" Maria asked as she closed her eyes. "Perhaps," Michael replied with a smirk. "I think he has some unresolved Max issues." Maria snorted at his remark. "I may have to take him away ever so often-" "I think it will do him some good," Maria sighed as Michael smiled. "More then you know-" he replied as he looked forward to his next encounter with him. the end |
